But after the sudden and untimely death of his girlfriend, Una, Sam’s sanity becomes a wobbling tightrope act as he convinces himself that Una must still be alive somewhere in the multiverse. As he searches for her with the reluctant help of Sal, a sardonic loner, and Hazel, Sam’s best friend, Sam’s understanding of reality rapidly unravels as he explores universes of Fear, Death, Dream, and even the Primordial Void. Of course, it’s when Sam figures out how to travel through time that things start to get really weird.

Both hilarious and tragic, ARTEFACTUM tells the story of the more unfortunate side of fate where, for every knight destined to slay a dragon, someone else is destined to be the dragon.

J.E. Tobal was born and raised in south Florida. Many people would argue that this has ruined him for life. He left as soon as he was able and moved to New York City. It’s a smidge colder there, but there’s also a lot less alligators and deadly snakes around. He’s fine with this.

Since graduating from New York University with a degree in English, he has written several short films for The Sparrow Film Project, co-created the comic book Detail: Nowhere, and contributed articles to Entertainment Weekly. He continues to reside in New York City with his daughter, who shares many of her father’s qualities. He’s less fine with this.

Artefactum is a stunning piece of literature that thrilled, shocked, and entertained me from the very first page! Everything about this piece of science fiction was exciting; the characters, as well as the story the reader gets to experience, and the incredible literature courtesy of the excellent J.E. Tobal, made me fall madly in love with this book! Artefactum is a piece of fiction that will captivate readers from all genres thanks to the many themes that are interwoven between the pages. This book can only be described as a read that should not be missed! If you are looking to read a book that will grasp your attention from the first page and hold it throughout then already I would implore you lovely readers to read this book because it is utterly brilliant!

Artefactum is an incredible science fiction tale that will take you on a journey like no other across the multi-verse! The reader will be introduced to the protagonist of the novel, Sam, who one-day stumbles across the means to time travel to alternate realities. When Sam’s girlfriend Una suddenly passes away, he decides to use this discovery to his advantage and believes that although Una passed away in his reality, she must be alive in another. So our journey begins, the reader will follow Sam along with the reluctant help of Sal and his best friend Hazel, as they embark on a journey across the universe and what follows is a shocking and brilliant journey that shouldn’t be missed!

The story of Artefactum is a magnificent one that is full of many exciting moments and many twists and turns. As the reader reads this book they will always be kept on edge thanks to the unexpected turns the reader will experience; these twists and turns will guarantee the reader keeps reading. They will feel compelled to do so, and that is the sheer beauty of this novel! The excellent author of this novel, J.E. Tobal effortlessly takes the reader on a thrilling journey; Tobal’s words managed to keep me intrigued as well as entertained as I raced through this book. It is the kind of book that is impossible to put down, and when I had to I longed for it! I wanted to be reunited with the story I had grown to love and the characters I had become invested in.

J.E. Tobal is a talented and well-accomplished author who has written an unforgettable novel that features heavily on its characters and themes. Tobal’s characters are superb, and I think every reader will be able to invest in them. They are believable, and their narratives jump right off the page and into the reader’s mind. This is another thing… Tobal has managed to create a vivid picture in my mind of this setting he has established. Tobal’s sometimes long, descriptive sentences, captured my imagination, and made me turn the pages with haste!

To summarize my thoughts on the exciting and thrilling novel that is Artefactum; I would say if you are a reader who is tired of reading the same old books that are lackluster and forgettable then take a chance with this one because I promise you now that you will not be disappointed! Artefactum gets five stars from me!
