Johanna is an artist from Wisconsin and Matt is a music critic from Massachusetts and a chance meeting at a Bob Dylan concert will forever change the course of both of their lives. When they met they immediately hit it off and soon a relationship blossoms, and they enjoy showing each other their own creative worlds. However as time progresses, life and their pasts get in the way and harm their blossoming relationship, and Matt’s reluctance to move to NYC where Johanna works only drives them apart further. The story of Visions of Johanna captivated me from the first page thanks to the book’s sharp literature and strong opening. The reader will be thrust into the story early on and I adored this approach courtesy of the talented author Peter Sarno. Peter Sarno is a writer who knows how to capture his reader’s attention with his fast-paced approach and dramatic story. As I read Visions of Johanna, I did so in a frenzy because the literature was incredibly addictive, so much so that the reader will race through the story and find it difficult to put the book down!

Peter Sarno is not only a phenomenal writer for his flawless ability to capture his reader’s attention, but he is also a great writer for his descriptive words and characterization of characters which will hook his readers. Peter Sarno is a newly discovered author of mine, and I admit, I am frustrated that I have not discovered his work sooner! Peter Sarno’s flawless literature and mesmerizing literature enthralled me for so many hours. The powerful and emotive moments he manages to inject into his story is remarkable and will have the reader turning the pages with haste because of it!

As Visions of Johanna is a sensational, captivating, and memorable novel that will provoke your thoughts as well as entertain you, I have no choice but to award this stellar read five stars.
