How to stop killing yourself as a mother.
As a mother, it can be difficult to remember to care for yourself while raising a family.
Not matter what ages your children are…whether they’re infants, toddlers, pre-, middle, or high school, you’re faced with making the right decisions when raising your children. You dedicate everything you have to them. As a result, you feel exhausted, overwhelmed and lacking in personal passion. Yes, you are the woman in charge. However, your role has become, “the exhausted ringmaster of the 3-ring circus”.
You’re working a 40-hour, or more, work week while parenting your children, cooking, cleaning, being there for your spouse, and everything else that needs to be done. Let’s not forget your obligations as a Boy Scout leader, dance mom, and PTA chairperson.
Sadly, your 40-hour work week is the only reprieve you get from your 24-hour-a-day job of stressing over whether your son is ever going to stop wearing skinny jeans; why your daughter won’t wear panties; and how you’re ever going to find time to complete all your obligations.
Even though you’re – “Rockin’ it” – you have no time for yourself. When was the last time you did something for yourself? I’m not talking about sleeping for 6 hours straight or taking a shower. You don’t remember do you? That’s where the problem is!
The Busy, Working Mother’s Guide to Living a Life of Meaning Series Living a Life of Passion is a book I have been dreaming of! The Busy, Working Mother’s Guide is a sensational book written by the equally superb author, Nicolle Lowrey who in her book will express that you are not alone. The literature courtesy of Nicolle is flawless and will flow beautifully throughout from beginning to end. The Busy, Working Mother’s Guide is a short read however it is packed full of useful information that will captivate you from start to finish while also never confusing you or bombarding you with too much information!
Self-help books are incredible books to read because they do have the power to inspire a person to change their ways. However, too many themes in such a book can make the text difficult to read; Nicolle Lowrey, however, is an expert and she perfectly weaves all of her themes so that the reader will never get bored or lost. Every topic of discussion is one that will resonate with moms, and if you do not resonate with a particular topic, it will inform you so that you will be able to help those who are struggling and that is the beauty of this book.
