The alien world of Antyllus is moving forward under new rule now that the war has been fought and won. With the native E’meset tribe joining with the emerging rebel Earth forces against Wilmington, the nefarious commander of the corrupt IIEA army of mercenaries, a tenuous peace has been patched together—but the solution for that peace is not workable for some, and whispers of a deadly uprising are in the wind…
Captain Nash Rastaban tries to rebuild his life after being duped into fighting with Wilmington’s iniquitous forces. He is recruited by Dave Mitchell to help quell the mercenaries who plan to take over Antyllus—a battle he wants no part of. But when he stands to lose all he holds dear, he realizes that peace is something he is going to have to fight for—this time, on the right side.
Will Antyllus ever be settled? Can the E’meset trust the humans and SUBs to fight alongside them against those corrupt officials who would take over Antyllus for their own gain? Power is a formidable motivator, but Antyllus—and all it stands for—is worth this fight…worth dying for. Nash and the ragtag band of soldiers he leads are determined to protect their homes, their loves, and their lives—even if it means making a last, defiant stand here in THE BLUE OF ANTYLLUS…
The Blue of Antyllus is a dramatic, thrilling and exciting novel that will keep readers entertained, captivated and engrossed from the very first page. Science fiction/dystopian stories are currently my go-to read so when I read the description of The Blue of Antyllus I knew that I had to read it as well as review it so that all you lovely readers could read about it. Never before have I been so captivated by a dystopian story and this is thanks to the exceptional author Michael E. Gonzales and his talented literature that kept me hooked for hours on end! The Blue of Antyllus is book five in the Unborn Galaxy series, so I am going to have to avoid spoilers, but if you want to know more about the series then I recommend reading the premise of book one called Dark Moon Rising!
The Blue of Antyllus is a thrilling novel that introduces the reader to the protagonist of the story, Captain Nash Rastaban. I do not want to spoil the previous books but the book will introduce the reader to an alien world known as Antyllus, and it has overcome war and won. This means that our protagonist can now try to rebuild his life after fighting in a force he rather he did not, but soon he will realize the turmoil is not over. The reader will follow Rastaban as well as a host of other characters as they try to fight corrupt officials who try to take over Antyllus for their own gain. This is the general premise of the excellent story book lovers, but please know that so much more happens in this incredible book so be sure to grab a copy!
The story of The Blue of Antyllus is excellent and incredibly well-developed thanks to Michael E. Gonzales, the author of this superb book. Gonzales manages to develop his world fast with immaculate detail; every event, character, and setting is well thought out and planned, and I was impressed by Gonzale’s flawless ability to do this. As I read The Blue of Antyllus, I immediately was drawn into the book and felt captivated by Gonzales’s spellbinding literature. This is because Gonzales’s writing is detailed in the most immaculate of ways; the text is detailed but not too dense, it is beautifully written so that the reader will be able to immerse themselves in the story from beginning to end without difficulty.
The Blue of Antyllus is sensational, and I applaud the exceptional author Michael E. Gonzales for putting a twist on dystopian/science fiction. I have never before encountered a book which puts such a twist on a genre and this combined with the fact that the story is so original and unique and incredibly entertaining at the same time shows us that Gonzales is a talented wordsmith who knows how to be creative and brazen with his thoughts and think outside of the box. I adore how Gonzales took risks with The Blue of Antyllus and decided to put a twist on a much-loved genre; this is incredibly hard to do and even harder to pull off, so it is safe for me to write that I adore Gonzales’s literature!
The story of The Blue of Antyllus is quite simply amazing, however amazing is just one of the words I would use to describe The Blue of Antyllus as it is so much more than this. It is a puzzling, perplexing, thrilling and exciting adventure that will have you compelled as well as captivated from the start. Not only is Michael E. Gonzales fantastic for his ability to shroud his book in a chilling story that will have readers frantically turning the pages, but he is also an excellent author for his descriptive writing. The descriptions and the action-packed events that unfold are breathtaking and will captivate and draw a reader into the story quickly and easily.
As The Blue of Antyllus is an exciting, compelling and action-packed dystopian adventure that will entertain and delight readers for hours on end, I, of course, have to review this incredible book five stars! So please if you love dystopian stories that follow strong protagonists while being taken on a memorable journey, then The Blue of Antyllus is for you!
