A mysterious book leads to an adventure of a lifetime…
Twelve-year-old Ethan knows it all, and if it doesn’t involve fantasy or video games, he isn’t interested. On a trip to an antique store with his father, Ethan comes across the mysterious book, Grimoricon. Unaware of the secrets this book holds, Ethan soon finds himself in the unfamiliar world of Terah, a world that brings to life all the wondrous and terrifying things from Ethan’s fantasy books.
Aided by a teenage huntress named Nera and her bear companion, Ethan must travel through this unfamiliar world of magic, danger, and intrigue all in an attempt to find his way back home.
However, dark forces have learned of Ethan’s arrival and are seeking to capture him before he can find the doorway between worlds. It will take all of Ethan’s courage and the help of his friends to overcome this enemy and open the doorway.
Pathway to Terah is a book I was keen to read ever since discovering it because I always love to find incredible, heart-warming and inspiring adventure/fantasy stories for my children to read so when I found Pathway to Terah I thought ‘is this finally the perfect book?!’. Now that I have finished Pathway to Terah I can happily write that yes it is book lovers. Pathway to Terah is one of the most well written and well-developed stories I have ever come across, and I genuinely mean this. It is the sad truth that many children books are not written to a high standard, and I understand why some authors may write their children’s book this way because after all, children mostly want a fast-paced story, however, this is not always the best option. The child will most likely enjoy the story; however they won’t remember it. Personally, as a mother I look for children books which my children will remember and want to re-read, and Pathway to Terah is that book as Pathway to Terah is an expertly written children’s book with a story that is well developed and memorable and a story that I guarantee children with love thanks to its fast-paced but engaging narrative and the sensational story that unfolds.
Pathway to Terah is a sensational book that will introduce the reader to the young protagonist of the novel, Ethan, a twelve-year-old boy who loves fantasy and video games. On a trip with his father to an antique store, Ethan discovers a mysterious book called Grimoricon and this discovery will change his life forever. The book holds secrets he is about to discover, and Ethan will soon find himself in a strange world known as Terah, and here Ethan will witness things beyond his wildest imagination. The reader will follow Ethan as well as Nera and her bear companion as they travel through Terah all while evading danger and this book lovers is the premise of the sensational Pathway to Terah!
The story of Pathway to Terah is a thrilling one thanks to the enthralling and action-packed moments as well as the unpredictable nature of the book that will have the readers turning the pages with haste from beginning to end. I love children books that involve a journey because usually in these stories the character develops and grows as they overcome events which in turn adds to the development of the character and explores life lessons throughout the book and that is most certainly the case with Pathway to Terah. What I loved most about Pathway to Terah is that the reader is taken on an adventure that is continuously evolving and changing.
B.D. Suever is an incredible writer who knows how to capture young readers attention from the start. Suever does this by placing the reader in the thick of the drama straight away with no long build up. The reader will be thrust into the story and because the reader experiences this so fast they will be hooked and captivated to read until the very end. Suever manages to ensure that his readers are entertained from beginning to end, and he does this by weaving twists and turns throughout his book as well as many jaw-dropping moments that will fascinate as well as excite young readers.
B.D. Suever is an incredibly talented author who clearly knows how to write unique but engaging stories. It was evident to me from the start that Suever is a passionate writer who surely loves entertaining children with his literature and putting a smile on children’s faces. I loved this about the author but what I loved the most about Suever’s writing is his remarkable descriptions because they genuinely amazed me. Fantasy novels, in general, are difficult to write because you have to transport the reader quickly and effortlessly, but sadly this is rarely accomplished in a fantasy story but not with Pathway to Terah. Pathway to Terah is the way it is because Suever knows what he is doing! Suever knows how to whisk his readers away and entice them with magnificent descriptions and keep children entertained from start to finish!
Overall Pathway to Terah is a marvelous, stellar and supreme children’s book that will entertain, delight as well as charm young readers and so I, of course, have to award this book five stars! Be sure to have a read of the preview below book lovers; you will not regret it!
