Magic Required is quite simply one of the most exciting, incredible, fantasy books I have ever read.  Magic Required has astounded me; I enjoyed every single moment of the book because it was by far a perfect read. The wonderful author of the novel, HS Paisley, is a true literary talent because the author managed to captivate and enthrall from the very beginning. To be honest, a part of me was always going to love this book because I love fantasy, but even if I did not, I would still love this book because it has action and adventure and fantastic writing that will keep the reader happy in bliss!

Magic Required will introduce the reader to Lochlan. The reader will be introduced to Lochlan in the year 2047; however he has a vast history behind him, one of immense power and epic battles with God; however, he has moved past this and wants to remain unnoticed. However, soon Lochlan will start to receive prophetic visions, and he soon realizes he can’t escape the old world or his past and this book lovers is the premise of the sensational Magic Required!

The story of Magic Required is a sensational one because it encompasses everything good about literature. It has an outlandish, brave plot, enthralling characters and an incredibly well thought out backstory that will keep the reader wanting to read for hours on end. Magic Required is a unique and special book; it is exceptional for the apparent reasons… that it encompasses everything great about the written word, but it is unique because of the plot. The plot of this novel is something I have never read of or heard of before, it reads like a movie, and you can imagine the details in perfect glory. Never before have I read a book that has a ton of action as well as intellectual depth. In other words, this book has brains behind it; it is not a senseless, quick, fantasy read.

HS Paisley, the author does an incredible job of piecing together magic with exciting moments and seamlessly integrates themes into one book of intrigue. Paisley is a phenomenal writer because the author is dedicated to their work as well as passionate. Paisley’s passion for the written word shines off the page and into the reader’s mind. Paisley’s sometimes lengthy, beautiful descriptions will send the readers mind into visual overdrive, the reader will be able to perfectly imagine every detail the reader comes across and that in my opinion, is a sign of a talented author.

To conclude my thoughts on the brilliant piece of literature that is Magic Required; I would say if you are looking for a fantasy read that is unlike anything you have read… a read that will keep you entertained for hours on end as well as enthrall you then this incredible book is for you!
