Final Look is an incredible tale that will take its readers on an action-packed and thrilling journey from the very start. The reader in Final Look will be thrust on a journey like no other that introduces us to the protagonist of the novel, Christine Lane, a policewoman whose career has been turned upside down after an incident that sees her being transferred to a small island to escape the noise.
Christine’s life changed when a resident was found dead and Christine was hurt in the process. After investigators move on from the homicide, Christine takes it upon herself to investigate the crime and so in secret, she begins to gather all the information she can, and when danger comes knocking she knows she is getting close to uncovering the identity of the murderer. The tale of Final Look is gripping, glorious, and let’s not forget breathtaking! This novel truly did astound me with its captivating narration and thrilling plotline in which many twists and turns occur. As well as it being a great detective crime novel, it is also a unique, diverse one that is unlike your typical detective tale and I have to say that I adored this because I was getting very tired of reading the same old books so thank you, Dianne Scott, for writing a book that is fresh, exciting and gripping!
Dianne Scott can only be described as a talented, accomplished writer who knows what a reader wants in a great novel! As I read Final Look I read every sentence slowly so that I could absorb all of the novel’s information; I felt as if I was there and it made for an immersive reading experience. Scott is an excellent writer who is well accomplished in this genre; her work astounded me from the very beginning thanks to her plot, as well as her compelling characters which in turn made me invest in the story even more!
To conclude my thoughts on the thrilling novel that is Final Look, I would say if you are bored with the same old detective and mystery cliches then take a chance with this gem because you will not be disappointed. It has everything you would want in a great novel, and that is spine-tingling good content, dynamic, memorable characters, and a brilliant author. Final Look, of course, gets five stars from me!
