The Midnight Rose is a phenomenal book written by the talented author, Catalina Paris, and wow what a sensational story! The Midnight Rose is a book I was keen to read ever since discovering it because I always love to find fantasy stories to read so when I discovered The Midnight Rose I thought ‘Is this finally the perfect book?!’. Now that I have finished The Midnight Rose, I can happily write that yes it is book lovers. The Midnight Rose is an exceptionally well-written and well-developed story and that is why I already have to recommend you lovely readers have a read! However, if you need more convincing then continue to read to learn more!
The Midnight Rose is a sensational novel that will introduce the reader to the protagonist of the novel, sixteen-year-old apprentice Leo, who while working at the Alchemical Court finds it attacked and his life is forever turned upside down. Leo is told to flee the castle and uses peculiar runes from his master’s notebook which creates a portal. The portal leads Leo to a strange land called the Realm of the Frey and it is here he meets Lady Lisandra, a faerie. Together they learn that both of their worlds are in danger thanks to the Dark Alchemyst and so they must team up to find the Tailsmans of Altanica to save their world before it is too late. On their journey, they will meet a witch and a warlock who have their own paths set out and what follows is a shocking and unforgettable fantasy adventure that shouldn’t be missed!
The Midnight Rose is a thrilling novel thanks to the enthralling and action-packed moments as well as the unpredictable nature of the book that will have the readers turning the pages with haste from beginning to end. I love books that involve a journey because usually in these stories the character develops and that is certainly the case with the protagonist of The Midnight Rose! And it makes for a fascinating and entertaining story that grips you from start to finish.
Catalina Paris is an incredibly talented and excellent author who clearly knows how to write unique but engaging stories. It was evident to me from the start that Paris is a passionate writer who surely loves entertaining readers with her literature and putting a smile on readers’ faces. I loved this about the author, but what I loved the most about Paris’s writing was her remarkable descriptions because they genuinely amazed me. Fantasy novels, in general, are challenging to write because you have to transport the reader quickly and effortlessly, but sadly this is rarely accomplished in a fantasy story but not with The Midnight Rose. The Midnight Rose is the way it is because Paris knows what she is doing!
To conclude my thoughts, The Midnight Rose is a marvelous, stellar, and supreme fantasy tale that will entertain, delight as well as charm readers! And so I, of course, have to award this book five stars!
