Fantasy stories are currently my go-to read so when I read the description of Wicked Magic I was sold and knew that I had to read it as well as review it so that all you lovely readers could read about it! Never before have I been so captivated by a fantasy story and this is thanks to the exceptional author Margot de Klerk who managed to delight me effortlessly with her tale that is unique and unlike anything I have read before!
Wicked Magic is a unique and brilliant fantasy tale that will whisk its readers away on a journey like no other. The reader will meet the protagonist of the novel, Nathan, a vampire hunter who has been training to hunt vampires since the age of five and it is all about to pay off on the cusp of his graduation. Nathan has been working his whole life for this moment and to join his family as a vampire hunter and make them proud, but soon his life is turned upside down when dark forces assault the girl he likes and her sister, and this forces Nathan to team up with vampires, witches, and even a druid.
What follows is a shocking tale that will see Nathan team up with enemy forces to do what is right and along the way, he will uncover shocking secrets about prominent Hunters and the Council and the result is a thrilling story that will keep you hooked from start to finish and this book lovers is the short premise of the incredible Wicked Magic!
The story of Wicked Magic is excellent and incredibly well-developed thanks to Margot de Klerk, the author of the book. Margot de Klerk manages to develop her world with immaculate detail; every event, character, and setting is well thought out and planned, and I was impressed by Klerk’s flawless ability to do this. As I read Wicked Magic, I immediately was drawn into the book and felt captivated by Klerk’s literature, and this is for many reasons. The main reason is that Klerk’s literature is detailed in the most immaculate of ways, the text is detailed but not heavy, it is beautifully written so that the reader will be able to immerse themselves in the story from beginning to end without difficulty.
While reading Wicked Magic, the reader will be able to feel Margot de Klerk’s pursuit of literary perfection. Klerk’s riveting tale keeps the pages turning of their own accord, and it makes for such captivating reading! Klerk’s seamlessly hooks the reader and immediately immerses the reader in her world of fantasy through her fast-paced writing style, beautifully detailed descriptions, and flawless character integration.
Overall Wicked Magic sends you into a tailspin of a journey packed full of exciting twists and turns that leave you both guessing and wanting more. Once you pick up Wicked Magic, you won’t be able to put it down…I know I couldn’t! Of course, with such a fantastic piece of literature, I have to award Wicked Magic five stars!
