Voodoo Academy is a sensational novel that hooked me from its description alone! When I read the description of this book and learned that it explores voodoo and the supernatural, I was excited to get lost in its pages and that I did! Now that I have finished reading Voodoo Academy I can happily write too that it did not disappoint and in fact, exceeded my expectations!
Every now and then a reader will come across that one book that blows them away, it is a somewhat generic term, but that is what Voodoo Academy did to me… it blew me away and ever since completing it I have been thinking of its intricate and detailed story and how I need to re-read it! That is when you know book lovers that you have come across an incredible book when you are thinking of it when you have a million things to do. That is why I am already going to recommend Voodoo Academy to you lovely readers, and yes, it may be early on in my review, but Voodoo Academy is a novel not to be missed!
Voodoo Academy is a thrilling, captivating, and brilliant supernatural novel that will take its readers on a journey like no other! The reader in Voodoo Academy will meet the protagonist of the novel, Annabelle Mulledy. Annabelle as a child survived a Voodoo attack which left her possessed by the spirit of a 200-year-old girl. However, the spirit is no ordinary one, as it has strange abilities that Annabelle thus possesses. This draws the attention of Kalfu, an evil voodoo spirit who wants to use Annebelle’s powers to leave the spiritual realm and take human form, and this book lovers is where our story begins! What follows is a thrilling and shocking tale that will entertain you from the start and is a story that should not be missed!
Voodoo Academy for me was thrilling, captivating, and addictive right from the start and I felt this from beginning to end. Voodoo Academy was captivating to me from the start thanks to the unique premise of the story and the bewitching literature courtesy of the author, Theophilus Monroe who from the start hooked me with his unique story. It is rare to find a supernatural novel that is unique and even more challenging to discover a supernatural story that does not rely on gimmicks and ridiculous action sequences! Voodoo Academy does have action-packed moments however they are tasteful and in no way gimmicky which is always fantastic in a book
Theophilus Monroe is not only a brilliant writer for his ability to write a unique and engaging story, but he is also an excellent author for his ability to lace exceptional twists and turns throughout his story that genuinely had me shocked at points! The combination of Monroe’s shocking twists and his explanatory powers will immerse the reader in the story and make them be able to visualize every detail, no matter how small. This writing approach is one of my favorites because it makes the reader feel included in the story and makes the reader feel as if they are in the same situation as the protagonist of the novel Annabelle which makes for a thrilling read!
Overall Voodoo Academy is a thrilling, compelling, and thought-provoking novel that will easily entertain readers for many days and nights and so, I, of course have to award this stellar gem of a book five stars! If you are a reader who loves supernatural or even occult literature then I implore you to read Voodoo Academy; it is a fast-paced, action-adventure that should not be missed so have a read of the preview below and get reading!
