L Maristatter is a talented and well-accomplished author and her work is gripping as well as riveting and holds a host of shocking but thought-provoking themes. Tiny Tin House is an incredible and thrilling novel that will take its readers on an action-packed and terrifying journey. The reader in Tiny Tin House will meet the protagonist of the novel, eighteen-year-old Meryn Flint who lives in the United States of America but this is not the USA we know, because following a second civil war, the USA is divided into two, and now there are Christian States of America, where religion is first and foremost and this is where Meryn lives. It is here that although legally an adult, she can’t leave home until her stepfather finds her a husband. However, when Meryn’s stepfather Ray kills her mother, she must flee and this is when her life changes forever. Meryn faces hard choices, none of them ideal, including being homeless or marrying her former violent boyfriend, but soon there is one option where she can build herself a tiny house and keep safe from society. What follows is a shocking and brilliantly thought-provoking novel that will compel you to read from beginning to end, and this book lovers is the short premise of the wonderful Tiny Tin House!
The tale of Tiny Tin House is gripping, glorious, and let’s not forget breathtaking! This novel truly did astound me with its captivating narration and thrilling plotline in which many twists and turns occur. As well as it being a great, dystopian novel, it is also a unique, diverse one which is unlike your typical dystopia read and I have to say that I adored this because I was getting very tired of reading the same old books so thank you, L Maristatter, for writing a book that is fresh, exciting and gripping!
L Maristatter can only be described as a talented, accomplished writer who knows what a reader wants in a great novel! As I read Tiny Tin House I read every sentence slowly so that I could absorb all of the novel’s information; I felt as if I was there and it made for an immersive reading experience. Maristatter is an excellent writer who is well accomplished in this genre; her work astounded me from the very beginning thanks to her original plot, as well as her compelling characters that in turn made me invest in the story even more!
To conclude my thoughts on the riveting novel that is Tiny Tin House, I would say if you are bored with the same old dystopian cliches then take a chance with this gem because you will not be disappointed. It has everything you would want in a great novel, and that is spine-tingling good content, dynamic, memorable characters, and a brilliant author. Tiny Tin House, of course, gets five stars from me!
