Time and the Tree is quite simply one of the most exciting, incredible, and unique novels that I have read in a long time! Time and the Tree has astounded me; I enjoyed every single moment of the book because it was by far a perfect read. The wonderful author of the novel, Róisín Sorahan is a true literary talent because she managed to captivate and enthrall me from the very beginning! Time and the Tree is a captivating and mind-blowing tale that will take its readers on a thought-provoking journey from start to finish! In this philosophical tale, the reader will meet a boy and a tree. The boy wakes under the tree thirsty, and the tree guides him to a spring. Together the two become friends and the tree watches the boy grow up. The tree also encounters different visitors, seeking guidance but the tree is old and has great wisdom, and knows the way of the world. The reader will follow the two on this journey and it makes for a stellar and thought-provoking read that shouldn’t be missed!

The story of Time and the Tree is a sensational one because it encompasses everything good about literature. It has an outlandish, brave plot, enthralling characters, and an incredibly well-thought-out story that will keep the reader wanting to read for hours on end. Time and the Tree is a unique and extraordinary book; it is special for the obvious reasons… that it encompasses everything great about the written word, but it is unique because of the plot. The plot of this novel is something I have never read of or heard of before, it reads like a movie, and you are able to imagine the details in perfect glory!

Róisín Sorahan, the author does an incredible job of piecing together entertainment with poignancy and seamlessly integrates themes into one book of intrigue. Sorahan is a phenomenal writer because she is dedicated to her work as well as passionate. Sorahan’s passion for the written word shines off the page and into the reader’s mind; her sometimes lengthy, beautiful descriptions will send the reader’s mind into visual overdrive, the reader will be able to perfectly imagine every detail the reader comes across and that in my opinion, is the sign of a talented author!
