Fast action with a little romance thrown in. Twist and turns with a surprise ending. The good guys should win. This is a fast read with entertaining characters. You’ll love the main hero and his lady or should I say, ladies. The scene is southern Alabama and money attracts bad guys like honey attracts bees. A good suspense with believable people. The Red Shoe is a spectacular book that will introduce the reader to the protagonist of the novel, Robert, a veteran whose life drastically changed when he returned home to find his wife had left him. This forced Robert to change his life, and he pursued law enforcement. Robert, along with his partner Tisza, embarks on a new and unique case involving an expensive red shoe which was found in a parking lot. The reader will follow the duo as they unravel the mystery and this book lovers is the premise of the sensational The Red Shoe!

The story of The Red Shoe is quite simply incredible. I feel that this novel is stand out amongst the genre it is held in because it is unique, emotive and powerful. It cannot be put into just one type of genre because it encompasses so many brilliant themes. There are a lot of topics laced throughout this novel but never once does it all become too much. They all perfectly blend together to make one stand out book!

The incredible author of The Red Shoe, Philip Dampier, is an incredibly talented writer who knows how to grasp his reader’s attention from the very first page. Philip’s flawless talent to grab the readers attention as well as keep them hooked from beginning to end is sensational. Dampier manages to do all of this effortlessly; his novel reads flawlessly, and as you near the end of one chapter you will feel compelled to keep reading and just when you think not much is happening, he will inject something shocking and or thrilling, and it will continue to keep you hooked and madly in love with the plot!

Philip Dampier is a phenomenal writer who knows how to grasp his reader’s attention from the first page. Dampier instead of writing long, drawn-out builds up which are commonly found in novels, decides to ditch this approach and thrust his reader into the heart of the story straight away so that the reader is instantly captivated and immersed. I personally love this approach, what is the point of having a long build-up with little excitement? This is only necessary if the author in question can’t develop the characters in the story quickly, but with The Red Shoe, the reader, will not encounter this issue because Dampier instantly develops his characters and makes the reader invest in not only them but also their journey.

Philip Dampier is not only a brilliant writer for his ability to captivate the reader’s attention straight away, but he is also an excellent author for his ability to lace exceptional twists and turns throughout his story that genuinely had me shocked at points! The combination of Dampier’s shocking twists and his explanatory powers will immerse the reader in the story and make them be able to visualize every detail, no matter how small. This writing approach is one of my favorites because it makes the reader feel included in the story and make the reader feel as if they are in the same situation as the protagonists of the novel.
