The Reuniting for me was an engrossing read that enthralled me from the very first page to the very last; I struggled to put this book down because I desperately wanted to know what was going to happen to the novel’s memorable characters, and I felt this way thanks to the author’s incredible writing that compelled me to read! Margaret M. MacDonald is a talented and well-accomplished author, and her work is gripping as well as riveting and holds a host of fantastic characters! Already, I have to recommend this novel for you lovely readers to read, but if you need more convincing, then continue to read to learn more about the incredible The Reuniting!
The Reuniting is an unforgettable and thought-provoking tale set in the future, where the world is split into two: The Unity and The Resistance. The Unity uses special technology to stay healthy; however, it strips them of their emotions, whereas The Resistance refuses this technology and lives in the wild, struggling to survive.
The reader will be introduced to Arin, a commander for the unity who, on a mission, captured a resistance fighter who also happens to be his old love, Lia.
Instead of handing her over, however, he escapes with her, joining the Resistance, but this is no simple feat. It is incredibly difficult, and when he learns that Lia is married to the Resistance leader, it only further complicates matters.
To become his true self again, he must give up his technology and become human again, and when his emotions return, so does his love for Lia, and soon his world will be turned upside when he discovers a secret that could change the world forever, and this book lovers is the short premise of the incredible The Reuniting!
The tale of The Reuniting is gripping, glorious, and let’s not forget breathtaking! This novel truly did astound me with its captivating narration and thrilling plotline, in which many twists and turns occur. As well as it is a great, dystopia/science fiction novel, it is also a unique, diverse one that is unlike your typical dystopian/sci-fi tale and I have to say that I adored this because I was getting very tired of reading the same old books so thank you, Margaret M. MacDonald, for writing a book that is fresh, exciting and gripping!
Margaret M. MacDonald can only be described as a talented, accomplished writer who knows what a reader wants in a great novel! As I read The Reuniting, I read every sentence slowly so that I could absorb all of the novel’s information; I felt as if I was there, and it made for an immersive reading experience. MacDonald is an excellent writer who is well-accomplished in this genre; her work astounded me from the very beginning, thanks to her plot, as well as her compelling characters, which in turn made me invest in the story even more!
To conclude my thoughts on the thrilling novel that is The Reuniting, I would say if you are bored with the same old dystopian cliches, then take a chance with this gem because you will not be disappointed. It has everything you would want in a great novel and that is spine-tingling good content, dynamic, memorable characters, and a brilliant author. The Reuniting, of course, gets five stars from me! So be sure to have a read of the book below, you won’t regret it!
