The Fated Ones, Kennedi Morgan

War has wracked the continent of Tellus for over five hundred years. Dragon fae are keen to reclaim the lost legacy of an empire and take revenge for the death of their high fae queen, and the wolf shifters demand their warring neighbors to take heed of their strength, lest their dragon foes lose more land and lives.

For twenty-three year old virgin latent wolf, Nessa, however, the war is but a breeze in the wind.

Far secluded from the greater war at hand, Nessa struggles with her own inner turmoil. As a latent wolf and unable to shift, Nessa is used to others demeaning her and disregarding her abilities, her strengths, her place in the pack. Nessa is wrought with a need to prove herself, to show her alpha that she is just as strong, capable, and cunning as any shifter in her pack. When a mission goes awry, however, Nessa is faced with a choice: join the Lord Alpha’s army in exile, or lose her brother and best friend, the only bonds of love and acceptance that she has ever known.

For non-binary, genderfluid dragon fae Skye, the great war has done nothing but expose the withering relationship between them and their father, as well as their father’s inability to accept the past for the greater of the future. Skye has seen the devastation the war has left the lands in the borders, and they will do everything in their power to usurp their father’s will and do their part to ease the suffering of both sides.

When Nessa and Skye meet at the crossroads of their journeys, their fated bonds threaten to shatter Tellus’s perception of the great war and everyone’s part in it. When secrets are unearthed, how will their bond withstand against the coming conflict?
