RED HEADED BOOK LOVER

The Centurions: The Dragon’s Prophecy, David Noel

Book 1 of The Centurions. The year is 946 A.D. Threats, both human and monstrous, loom over the kingdoms of the Franks. Brendan is a young thief of “unusual talents” in search of vengeance for the family he has lost. Portia is a young warrior maiden, a member of the Order of the Centurions, sworn to protect the innocent and oppressed. The two find themselves caught in the web of a dragon’s plot while racing to stop a massive invasion from the east. He must learn to forgive others while she must learn to trust herself before time runs out. Their courage and faith will be tested to the limits as God teaches them how to work together despite their differences.

“One of the things which I particularly liked about the novel was the characters and their development, and the fact that they were unusual in their roles and portrayed strong ideals of self-discovery and inner strength. The dialogue also showcases this fantastically, bringing Portia and Brendan to life with characteristic and authentic voices that capture both the history and emotion of the time period. What results is a set of heroes you can really get invested in, and when combined with the atmosphere and well-drawn fantasy world, it makes for a really exciting novel.” – K.C. Finn

Pirates infest the seas, knights battle for conquest and glory, dragons rule the wild places, werewolves haunt the forests, and darker things prowl the edges of civilization.
