I wish I had because it has been a long time since I have read a tale of this nature so I was thrilled to discover The Bastard of Colonia! It is an incredible book, full of twists and turns galore and sensational literature courtesy of T.J.S. Hayes.
T.J.S. Hayes has managed to write a historical tale that is not only thrilling but informative too as it takes the reader back in time. Hayes knows just how to inform his readers by his wonderful ability to whisk readers away on a journey and perfectly place them in the thick of the drama. As well as this the descriptions laced throughout The Bastard of Colonia are beautiful and they will correctly place you in the thick of the story, making you imagine every detail as well as making you imagine you are right there with the protagonists of the novel! This, in turn, keeps the reader hooked and turning the pages which is what a reader would want in a novel!
Overall The Bastard of Colonia is a magnificent, sensational, and entertaining book that will easily entertain its readers and captivate them to read for many hours so I, of course, have to award this incredible book five stars!
