Soldier in Germany is a unique and brilliant novel that will take its readers on a journey back in the 1970s as we meet the protagonist of the tale, Christopher Adams, an Air Force sergeant who finds himself the lone survivor after his post is overrun in Vietnam. Adams, despite being offered medical discharge, asks to be sent to Germany and it is here his life will change forever. Adams finds himself falling in love with a billboard of a young and beautiful woman, so when he meets her at a local nightclub, he can’t believe his luck. Adams instantly falls for Nikolina von Lotzenburg but she has a complicated life and their love will be tested and it makes for a powerful and incredible tale that you won’t be able to forget! Soldier in Germany is an incredible novel that has an in-depth plot, and I have to say, I adore this! James Snyder is an incredible author for his ability to write such an in-depth novel and he is a brilliant talent for his ability to grab the reader’s attention effortlessly and quickly! I found the plot of this book to be captivating, it absorbed me very early on and I never once got bored. This again is all thanks to Snyder and his great talent for writing historical fiction with a twist! Snyder truly is an incredible author who has created a fantastic, brilliant story and it is evident to me that Snyder has invested an enormous amount of time into his novel because it is perfectly executed and full of vibrant, descriptive scenes and well-developed characters!
Soldier in Germany has everything the reader would want in a read and so much more; it has spine-tingling good content, dynamic, memorable characters, an incredible author who writes beautifully and wonderfully, and lastly it is an all-around, entertaining, unforgettable read!
To summarize my thoughts on the incredible novel that is Soldier in Germany; I would say if you are a reader who is tired of reading lackluster novels then take a chance with Soldier in Germany, because I promise you now that you will not be disappointed!
