Shadows of Tehran is a thrilling piece of literature that engrossed, entertained, and shocked me from the very first page! Everything about this military thriller was enthralling; the characters, as well as the settings the reader gets to experience, and the incredible literature courtesy of the wonderful Nick Berg, made me fall madly in love with this book! Shadows of Tehran is a book that can only be described as a read that should not be missed and so if you are looking to read a book that will grasp your attention from the first page and hold it throughout, then already I would implore you lovely readers to read this book because it is utterly brilliant!
Shadows of Tehran is a thrilling and terrific unique tale that will take its readers on a dark and twisty journey from start to finish. The reader in Shadows of Tehran will be thrust into a tale full of rebellion as we meet Ricardo, a young boy raised in the turbulent city of Tehran against the backdrop of the Islamic Revolution of 1979. It is here that his life takes a dramatic turn when his American father abandons his family, just as his fundamental rights are stripped away and his world is turned upside down. Matters only get worse for Ricardo when his mother remarries to somebody who has a dark secret which only adds fuel to the fire of what Ricardo’s life has become.
The reader will follow Ricardo who becomes a rebel leader known as Shadow Rider of Tehran, as he vows to undo the injustices he has faced. However, when Ricardo’s identity is and he faces execution he must flee his homeland. What follows however is an incredible journey in which we witness Ricardo eventually becoming a US Special Forces soldier who must return to Tehran and it makes for an explosive tale that you won’t be able to forget, and this book lovers is the short premise of the incredible Shadows of Tehran!
The story of Shadows of Tehran is an incredibly captivating thriller that stands out amongst the genre and kept me hooked from beginning to end. The pacing of this story was wonderfully written and plotted so that I did not get bored at any given time. Never once did I find myself referring to the page number and that is a sure sign that this incredible book is a compelling piece of work that draws the reader in and captivates them to read it quickly and to reach the end of the book very fast!
The excellent author of this novel, Nick Berg effortlessly takes the reader on a thrilling journey; Berg’s words managed to keep me intrigued as well as entertained as I raced through this book. It is the kind of book that is impossible to put down, and when I had to I longed for it! I wanted to be reunited with the story I had grown to love and the characters I had become invested in.
Nick Berg is a talented and well-accomplished author who has written an unforgettable novel that features heavily on its characters and themes. Berg’s characters are superb, and I think every reader will be able to invest in them! They are believable, and their narratives jump right off the page and into the reader’s minds and this is another thing! Berg has managed to create a vivid picture in my mind of the setting he has established. Berg’s descriptive sentences captured my imagination and made me turn the pages with haste!
To summarize my thoughts on the remarkable novel that is Shadows of Tehran; I would say if you are a reader who is tired of reading the same old books that are lackluster and forgettable then take a chance with this one because I promise you now that you will not be disappointed!
