Patricia Bossano is an author whose work I have grown to love over the past few months. Bossano’s stories are consistently entertaining, thrilling, and above all, unique! So I was very excited to read Seven Ghostly Spins and am even more excited to be sharing it with you today! Never before have I read such a unique, imaginative, enthralling piece of literature; Patricia Bossano, the author of this exciting collection of short stories, is incredibly talented because she knows just how to capture her reader’s imagination from the very first page. As I read this book, I struggled to put it down, so much so that I read it in two sittings thanks to Bossano’s incredible talent to hold the reader’s attention. Already I would implore you book lovers to read this book because it is incredibly unique and unlike anything you have read before!

Seven Ghostly Spins is a collection of seven tales which are rich in detail as well as incredibly entertaining. My personal favorites were Abiku (which I believe is the star story of the book) and A Curse Lifted. Both gripped me from the start and made me want to re-read so I could pick up on every detail. All stories featured in Seven Ghostly Spins are of a supernatural nature and are based on folklore heard throughout the centuries. I knew that I would love this book thanks to the fact it is inspired by folklore. I have always been fascinated with myths and legends and Bossano in her book has definitely captured the feeling of true myths and legends in her incredible book.

The story of Seven Ghostly Spins is a thought-provoking and thrilling one that is multi-layered and fast-paced. Patricia Bossano in Seven Ghostly Spins has managed to weave poignant themes with interesting, dynamic characters and interweave both to make an astonishing piece of fiction weaved around folklore tales that is both addictive and fast-paced. Every detail in Seven Ghostly Spins is superb and thought out, Bossano is a descriptive writer and so the reader is easily able to get lost in her words which is impressive considering this is a collection of short stories!

Patricia Bossano is a talented author and a genuine wordsmith. Bossano’s tale is gripping and consistent from beginning to end. As the reader reads this book, they will be taken on an unforgettable journey which will unfold bit by bit at a perfect pace that will keep the reader engrossed. Bossano’s vivid writing will enable the reader to fall madly in love with this book and be kept hooked because you simply can’t help but do this! The fluidity alone in her book is sensational, and unlike anything, I have read before. Never once did I find myself getting bored with the stories or even the characters, Bossano managed to continually shock and surprise me thanks to her fantastic plot devices such as twists and turns.

To summarise my thoughts on the brilliant and riveting Seven Ghostly Spins, I would say if you are a reader who is looking to read a phenomenal piece of literature that will keep you hooked from beginning to end, then this incredible book is for you!
