Return of Midnight Marauder is book two in the Midnight Marauder series written by the exceptional author Roy Clinton and wow, what a sequel! In Return of Midnight Marauder, the reader will once again be introduced to the protagonist of the series John Crudder as he sets out to balance the scales of justice once again. The reader in Return of Midnight Marauder will follow Crudder as he is forced away from his home in order to protect the ones he loves and he soon becomes a vagabond drifting from place to place. Along the way, he comes across Huntsville and it is here that there is a great injustice, one he feels he must correct and thus our story begins book lovers. Follow Crudder as he seeks to get justice for a murderer, tries to persuade a politician to change his heinous ways and subsequently watch him evade the authorities and the bounty on his head and this book lovers is the premise of the incredible Return of Midnight Marauder!
Return of Midnight Marauder is written by the talented author, Roy Clinton and there is no doubt that he knows what he is doing! Clinton’s writing keeps the reader on the edge of their seat; his suspense-filled book provides a constant feeling of trepidation and a continuous sense of “what is going to happen next?”. I was enthralled by this and hooked from start to finish as I had no idea to the outcome and wanted to desperately know!
The tale of Return of Midnight Marauder is gripping, glorious, and let’s not forget breath-taking. This novel truly did astound me with its captivating narration and thrilling plotline in which many twists and turns occur. As well as it being a great, gritty western, it is also a unique, diverse one which is unlike your typical western novel and I have to say that I adored this because I was getting very tired of reading the same old western books so thank you Roy Clinton for writing a novel that is fresh, exciting and gripping!
To conclude my thoughts on the captivating novel that is Return of Midnight Marauder, I would say if you are bored with the same old western books then take a chance with this gem because you will not be disappointed. It has everything you would want in a great story, and that is spine-tingling good content, dynamic, memorable characters and a brilliant author.
