Poisoned Heart is a book I was keen to read ever since discovering it because I love fairytale retellings and this is one of Snow White! So I was excited to get lost in Poisoned Heart and I can happily say that it did not disappoint book lovers! That is why I already have to recommend you lovely readers have a read! Poisoned Heart is a sensational novel that will introduce the reader to the protagonist of the novel, Princess Arabella. The most beautiful and fairest of all in her land who lives a life of royal luxury. All of that changes however when she is forced to flee her home by an assassin and this is where her journey truly begins. The reader will follow Arabella as she finds shelter, works in a laundry mill with seven other women, and tries to survive.
However, when Arabella learns that her kingdom is in danger, she will do anything to save her kingdom and reclaim what she once had and this book lovers is the premise of the incredible Poisoned Heart!
Poisoned Heart is a thrilling novel thanks to the enthralling and action-packed moments as well as the unpredictable nature of the book that will have the readers turning the pages with haste from beginning to end. I love books that involve a journey because usually in these stories the character develops and grows as they overcome events which in turn adds to the development of the character and explores life lessons throughout the book and that is most certainly the case with Poisoned Heart!
Abigail Manning is an incredibly talented and excellent author who clearly knows how to write unique but engaging stories. It was evident to me from the start that Manning is a passionate writer who surely loves entertaining readers with her literature and putting a smile on readers’ faces.
I loved this about the author, but what I loved the most about Manning’s writing is her remarkable descriptions because they genuinely amazed me. Fantasy novels, in general, are challenging to write because you have to transport the reader quickly and effortlessly, but sadly this is rarely accomplished in a fantasy story but not with Poisoned Heart. Poisoned Heart is the way it is because Manning knows what she is doing!
To conclude my thoughts on this wonderful novel, Poisoned Heart is a marvelous, stellar, and supreme fantasy tale book that will entertain, delight as well as charm readers! And so I, of course, have to award this book five stars! Be sure to have a read of the preview below book lovers, you won’t regret it!
