It is this single accident that unlocks a wave of grief within Theo which turns not only her life upside down but also her marriage. Sadly however Theo would suffer even more loss when her father couldn’t cope with the loss of his soulmate and took his life. This forces Theo to embark on a journey she never could have imagined, and she takes us readers along with her, feeling her pain along the way and how she ultimately tried to salvage the broken pieces of her life and the result is an unforgettable and brave tale that shouldn’t be missed.

Theo Boyd’s story is one of the most shocking but moving stories I have ever read. Boyd’s journey was challenging, and although the events throughout this book are hard-hitting, the primary feeling associated with this book is inspiration as Boyd’s courage and determination to pursue a future in which he could find happiness and not grief consume her is truly beautiful.

Theo Boyd is an incredible woman for many reasons, but one of the reasons she is so wonderful is that he brazenly shares her story to help readers and to speak her truth. I adore how Boyd did not hold back on the details of hardships, she poignantly writes about all the difficulties she has endured, and it makes for profound reading. The reader won’t be able to not admire Boyd for all that she has been through and all that she has accomplished; she indeed is an inspirational woman, and I adored her book.

Overall My Grief Is Not Like Yours is an incredibly inspirational and honest tale. It takes a lot for a person to be so honest and to tell their story, so I admire Theo Boyd for doing just this and sharing her story in the hope that she can help others. As My Grief Is Not Like Yours is one of the most poignant tales I have ever read, I have no choice but to award this incredible book a dazzling five stars as it truly deserves it!
