As I read this book, I found myself re-reading parts because of how brilliant it was. It was magnificent to feel this, and I love it when an author does this to a reader; this is how reading should be! Full of shocks and surprises and great thrilling moments that you will remember for a long time, if not forever.
Carolyn Eichhorn is a brilliant writer who has written a fantastic story and come up with a brilliant plot. Eichhorn, from the very start, sets the tone of the novel; she lets her readers know that this is going to be a dark and atmospheric book, thanks to her literature,e and wow was it! Eichhorn is exceptional because she grabs her readers’ attention from the start very quickly and keeps them engrossed until the end. There are no long build-ups that drag in Murder in the Mix; instead, the reader will be thrown into the thick of the story quickly, and the result of this is incredibly exciting.
Carolyn Eichhorn is a talented author; there is no question about this. Eichhorn’s writing keeps the reader on the edge of their seat; her suspense-filled book reminds me of Alfred Hitchcock’s movies; there is a constant feeling of trepidation and a continuous sense of “what is going to happen next?!” as I read this book. I was enthralled because this is how mystery books should be! So truly book lovers, this book needs to be read and loved!
