The reader will be thrust back in time to 1940’s, Cleveland Ohio and it is here that Lorna tries to start her life afresh. Lorna, living in a new house, decides to take up painting and sparks a friendship with her widower neighbor, Tristan Blake. Lorna however can’t shake the feeling that something is off with Tristan and his house, but he is a rock and always there for her. What follows is a moving and thought-provoking take that will see Lorna battle to regain a piece of herself she lost while trying to figure Tristian out and this book lovers is the short premise of the wonderful Lorna versus Laura!

The emotive themes laced throughout Lorna versus Laura are perfectly weaved together into one of the most entertaining stories I have read, and this is thanks to the phenomenal author Cynthia Hilston who from beginning to end hooks me with her in-depth and compelling literature.
Cynthia Hilston is a newly discovered author of mine and I can happily say that she is a phenomenal writer who has written a fantastic and unique tale! Hilston is a talented wordsmith, and that is why I have to implore you lovely readers to get lost in her book!
Cynthia Hilston is an exceptional author, and her book Lorna versus Laura is the perfect read for me as books such as this one makes for the perfect escape from everyday life. Hilston knows how to flawlessly transport her reader into the story as well as to the places the reader is taken to and because her descriptions are glorious they will correctly paint a picture of the places the reader travels to in the reader’s mind which in turn keeps the reader captivated.
Overall Lorna versus Laura is a magnificent, sensational and entertaining book that will easily entertain its readers and captivate them to read for many hours so I, of course, have to award this incredible book five stars!
