To kick this off here is an author bio about the wonderful Joe Pranaitis!

I grew up in East Chicago, Indiana, and at an early age, my parents whom I miss introduced me to science fiction. Powerful influences on the stories I write stem from a kid when I read the novel Star Trek: Final Frontier by Diane Carey and later on Babylon 5. For the past 12 years, I’ve been working in the Hoosier Theatre in Whiting, Indiana. During my time there, I’ve written 13 novels. Currently, I am working on my next, 2 of which have been published under the title of Infinite Possibilities of which the main title will now be changed to make it more marketable. One more thing about Infinite Possibilities is that it will continue in its new form. One of my goals is to work with every major studio. I am currently co-writing and co-producing my first theatrical movie which leads me to direct my first short film. I am the VP and Co-owner of the production company Shareef Entertainment.

Thank you for joining us today at Red Headed Book Lover! Please tell us more about yourself

Hey Aimee, thank you for having me. I grew up in East Chicago Indiana and while I was in high school my art teacher saw me reading a ST:TNG comic and said, “I see you reading all these comics why not create one of your own?” I took the bate and she gave me the assignment for the semester to write and draw my own comic and that’s when Infinite Stars (Possibilities) was born. My parents where essential in introducing me to science fiction, they showed me ST:TOS and the original BattleStar Galactica, and later on I found Babylon 5 and the Star Trek novel Final Frontier by Diane Carey. All of that has had major impacts on my work.

Could you please tell us readers about your book and what inspired you to write your book?

Sure, Infinite Stars: Chronicles Book One is the first five years of the voyages of the starship Lionheart as she explores the last six percent of the galaxy and travel through time and jump to different universes. As to what made me want to write the book, that was wanting to flesh out the characters from the two comics that I had created in high school. Yes I know above I only talked about the first but had that assignment  twice.

What would your advice be for aspiring writers?

To write, and write what you want to. And read. Begin by reading in the genre that you want to write and keep at even after you’ve begun. And don’t stop because you will be someones favorite author one day,.

In your opinion, what is the most important thing about a book?

The most important thing about my book is that it shows us that the Possibilities are truly Infinite.

What is your writing process like?

My writing process begins by reading for a little bit then watching an episode or two of a series then sitting down and writing.

What kind of research do you do, and how long do you spend researching before beginning a book?

It depends on what type of technology that I need or a certain date that I want my characters  to go to.

Do you have a set schedule for writing, or do you only write when you feel inspired?

Yes I write for a half hour to an hour six days a week.

Do you read much and if so who are your favorite authors?

Yes I do and I have a whole list, Diane Carey, Carissa Ann Lynch, M.D. Cooper, Kevin J. Anderson, S.D. Perry, Brittany Coon, Virginia Wright, Greg Cox, J.J. Green, Richelle Mead, Ellie Douglas, T.g. Ayer, Carrie Vaughn, Stephen Cheshire, R.B. O’Brien, Sherry Ellis, Mike Shepherd  Peter David, David Weber, Kim Harrison, J.L. Clayton.

Lastly, when can we readers expect to read more wonderful books from you?
