As I read Jackhammer Lullaby, I found myself engrossed in each and every poem from beginning to end, and when I would finish reading one I would find myself reading two, even three more times! That is the power of this poetry book and it is all thanks to its raw nature, and the phenomenal words courtesy of Michael Albanese.
Michael Albanese is a newly discovered poet of mine, and I already know great things are ahead for him thanks to his words in Jackhammer Lullaby! I am so thrilled to have found Albanese’s work and I hope he continues to write as his work really is deeply moving and unforgettable. This is a testament too to how wonderful his book is, it transfixed and hooked me and I am already excited for what else Albanese may write in the future.
To conclude my thoughts on the incredible Jackhammer Lullaby, I would say this collection of poems is sensational, beautiful, and incredibly poignant!
