To the outside eye, it looked like Tara Coyote was living the perfect life in the suburbs with her musician husband, successful Pilates studio and Brady Bunch type family. What the outside world didn’t see was the pivotal event that turned her life upside down.
Grace, Grit and Gratitude is one woman’s story of a profound bond with horses that carried her through nine years of pain, trauma, cancer and the challenges of loss. It is about finding the courage to face one’s shadow in the darkest hour. Learn how the ancient principles of death and rebirth from the Mesopotamian Goddess, Inanna, has saved more than just one life.
Follow one woman’s spiritual journey of pain, perseverance and discovery with the unexpected power of her horses and ancient teachings as her guide.

Grace, Grit & Gratitude is a moving book written by Tara Coyote and will take its readers on a transfixing journey. In Grace, Grit & Gratitude, the author will share her story of how she battled cancer with the help of her spirituality and her love and bond with horses. Coyote is honest in her book and she shares how she went from living a great life, happily married with a beautiful family while running a successful Pilates studio, but Tara’s life changed when she received a cancer diagnosis.
Tara then goes on to share the journey she embarked on and shares what helped her along the way. One of the things being horses, and how they helped carry her through such a troubling time. It is a beautiful memoir that expresses the power of horses, perseverance, and spirituality and it is definitely one of my favorite memoirs thanks to how moving and inspiring it is.
