The reader in Fractured will be introduced to Stu Harvey, a struggling author who has reluctantly accepted an offer to write a biography of Simon Holis, a recently cleared serial killer, to make some quick money.
The reader will follow Stu as he moves into Simon’s grand estate, where he finds himself unsettled and soon strange and frightening incidents occur, which blur the lines between Stu and Simon, and this book lovers is the short premise of the thrilling Fractured!
The story of Fractured captivated me from the first page thanks to the book’s sharp prose and strong opening. The reader, thanks to the exceptional author Jason Melby, will be thrust into the action early on, thanks to Melby’s fast-paced narrative. The fast-paced narrative, combined with the extraordinary story, had me in a frenzy and turning the pages with haste, and when a reader does this, then they know that the book is good and worthy of a recommendation! Jason Melby is not only a phenomenal writer for his flawless ability to capture his readers’ attention, but he is also a great writer for his descriptive powers and characterisation, which will hook his readers!
Jason Melby is a phenomenal writer who knows how to grasp his readers’ attention from the first page. Melby, instead of writing long, drawn-out build-ups which are commonly found in most novels, decides to ditch this approach and thrust his reader into the heart of the story straight away, so that the reader is instantly captivated and immersed, and it makes for a thrilling read!
