When a tour boat crash leaves the kids lost and alone in the gator-infested swamp, they receive animal superpowers from a legendary Seminole Indian ghost. Now they can talk to animals, including Gumbo, and it seems like getting lost together was just what they needed.

Except, of course, for the giant mutant python who has serious plans for dinner . . . and revenge.

Enchanted Everglades is a middle grade/young adult fantasy tale that will move its readers with its inspiring themes and thrill them with its exciting moments! It is a brilliant novel full of detail and events beyond your wildest imagination and that is why I already recommend this novel to you lovely readers! Enchanted Everglades is a multi-layered novel with many plot avenues which are all perfectly weaved together by the exceptional author G.A. Kowatch and in Enchanted Everglades, the reader will be introduced to many characters, including Ocean River, Ellen Hansen, Gumbo, and BIX as well as a few more! Ocean River is a silly kid who tries and solves all problems with humor, however trying to help his friend Ellen, whose father sadly passed away, with humor, he nearly ruins his friendship forever. However, a trip to the Everglades looks to solve that, especially when he meets Gumbo! An alligator, that is heir to the gator kingdom who has been set a mission he does not want to complete by his father. Along the way he meets Ocean and Ellen and all of their lives will be changed forever and this book lovers is the premise of the incredible Enchanted Everglades!

The story of Enchanted Everglades is excellent and incredibly well-developed thanks to G.A. Kowatch, the author of the book. Kowatch manages to develop her world with immaculate detail; every event, character, and setting is well thought out and planned, and I was impressed by Kowatch’s flawless ability to do this. As I read Enchanted Everglades, I immediately was drawn into the book and felt captivated by Kowatch’s literature, and this is for many reasons. The main reason is that Kowatch’s literature is detailed in the most immaculate of ways, the text is detailed but not heavy, it is beautifully written so that the reader will be able to immerse themselves in the story from beginning to end without difficulty.

While reading Enchanted Everglades, the reader will be able to feel Kowatch’s pursuit of literary perfection and her drive to entertain readers. Kowatch’s riveting tale keeps the pages turning of their own accord, and it makes for such captivating reading! Kowatch seamlessly hooks the reader and immediately immerses the reader in her world of fantasy through her fast-paced writing style, beautifully detailed descriptions, and flawless character integration.

Overall Enchanted Everglades sends you into a tailspin of a journey packed full of exciting twists and turns that leave you both guessing and wanting more. Once you pick up Enchanted Everglades, you won’t be able to put it down…I know I couldn’t! Of course, with such a fantastic piece of literature, I have to award Enchanted Everglades five stars!
