Children of Madness is a sensational book written by the exceptional and talented author Jarrett Brandon Early, and wow, what a stellar story! Children of Madness is a book I was keen to read ever since discovering it. I admit, my expectations going in were high, maybe too high! Thanks to the description that intrigued me, I thought maybe they would not be exceeded, but now that I have read Children of Madness, I can happily write that they were! And that is why Children of Madness is a novel that should be read and loved! However, if you need more convincing, then continue to read to learn more!
Children of Madness is a brilliant tale set in the kingdom of Quaan, where the ruler eagerly waits for the Snail-Gods to arrive and cure the widespread sadness known as the Gloomtide. When the Snail-Gods finally arrive, however, they land in a place the ruler can’t reach and find themselves separated by a dangerous forest.
The reader will also meet Fincher Bugg as he leads the Sour Flower Gang, a group of child workers from the town of Stenches where its people live harsh and toxic lives. They watch as their parents slowly go mad but find comfort in their strong friendship and shared goal.
However soon the king offers hope to the downtrodden town and the Sour Flower Gang sets out on a risky journey to find the Snail-Gods for the people who have rejected them. As they embark on their journey they encounter incredible and terrifying things and begin to wonder whether the Snail-Gods can save humanity or whether the Gloomtide is a sign of its end and this book lovers is the short premise of the incredible Children of Madness!
Children of Madness is a thrilling novel thanks to the enthralling moments as well as the unpredictable nature of the book that will have the readers turning the pages with haste from beginning to end. I love books that involve a journey, and the reader has just this in Children of Madness as the reader is taken on a brilliant journey from start to finish. What I loved most about Children of Madness is that the reader is taken on a journey that is continuously evolving and changing which in turn kept me hooked from beginning to end.
Children of Madness managed to entertain me for many hours on end thanks to the unique premise of the story as well as the excellent literature courtesy of Jarrett Brandon Early. Very rarely do I discover a book that captivates me as fast as Children of Madness has, so the fact that I am so taken with this book shows you, readers, that this book indeed is incredible and not to be missed!
Jarrett Brandon Early is an incredibly talented author who clearly knows how to write unique but engaging stories. It was evident to me from the start that Early is a passionate writer who surely loves entertaining readers with his literature as well as thrilling them! From the start of Children of Madness, I found myself hooked, and this is a testament to how incredible Early’s book is.
To conclude my thoughts on the thrilling novel that is Children of Madness, I would say Children of Madness is a marvelous, stellar, and supreme book with poignant and unique themes that will entertain and delight readers from start to finish, and so I, of course, have to award this book five stars!
