RED HEADED BOOK LOVER

Bran, M.D. Stewart

Josie Davis runs the Hogg Trough, a biker bar she inherited after her dad was sent to prison seven years ago for something he didn’t do, killing her mother. Josie is struggling to get past the loss of her parents when a gorgeous man walks into her bar. She is surprised at her strong reaction to Bran but used to guarding her heart, she won’t trust him enough to act on her attraction.

Bran St. Clair, King of the Fae, is drawn to a bar on the edge of a rural town, knowing the owner, Josie is his true mate. He needs to claim her, but his job is to search for outlaw Fae who escaped to the Earth Plane. His overwhelming need for Josie leads the murderous Fae traitor to her doorstep. There’s one man on Earth he trusts to help him; Michael Mato, the Chief and Lead Elder of the bear shifters and the only man Bran has ever loved.

When Bran needs his help to protect Josie, Michael is instantly drawn to her. After surviving the loss of his wife decades before, he’s overcome with his love for Bran, the need to guard Josie and his obligation of leading his tribe.
Will evil and old secrets tear them apart or draw them together?

Bran is a novel I was desperate to read ever since discovering it and caught my attention right away thanks to its description which alludes to the Fae and more importantly, an outlawed Fae. Now and then a reader will come across that one book that blows them away, it is a somewhat generic term, but that is what Bran did to me. That is why I am already going to recommend Bran to you lovely readers, and yes, it may be early on in my review, but Bran is a novel not to be missed!

Bran for me was thrilling, captivating and addictive right from the start and I felt this from beginning to end. Bran was captivating to me from the start thanks to the unique premise of the story and the bewitching literature courtesy of the author, M.D. Stewart who from the start hooked me with her unique story that was unlike anything I have read before.

Bran is a breathtaking novel that will introduce the reader to the star of the book, Josie Davis. Josie runs the biker bar her dad once run, but he no longer does as he is in prison…for killing Josie’s mother. The reader will follow Josie as she soon meets Bran St. Clair and when she does she feels a strong pull to him, but her heart has been broken once too many times before and she is not looking to have it broken again. Bran St. Clair is king of the Fae, and he has been drawn to Josie’s town to capture a rouge Fae. However, he is distracted by Josie as he knows that she is his true mate. What follows next is truly captivating and should not be missed book lovers!

The premise of Bran is exceptional, original and unlike anything I have read before. I loved the many themes and elements explored throughout the book, and all themes are explored by Stewart wonderfully, and she does this by lacing these interesting themes throughout the text flawlessly and weaving them with the story. The result of this makes Bran a highly addictive and fascinating read that is never once lackluster or predictable.

M.D. Stewart is a phenomenal writer who knows how to grasp her reader’s attention from the first page. Stewart instead of writing long, drawn-out builds up which are commonly found in fantasy and romance novels, decides to ditch this approach and thrust her reader into the heart of the story straight away so that the reader is instantly captivated and immersed. I personally love this approach, what is the point of having a long build-up with little excitement? This is only necessary if the author in question can’t develop the characters in the story quickly, but with Bran, the reader will not encounter this issue.

M.D. Stewart is not only a brilliant writer for her ability to captivate the reader’s attention straight away, but she is also an excellent author for her ability to lace exceptional twists and turns throughout her story that genuinely had me shocked at points! The combination of Stewart’s shocking twists and her explanatory powers will immerse the reader in the story and make them be able to visualize every detail, no matter how small.

Overall Bran is a thrilling, compelling and thought-provoking novel that will easily entertain readers for many days and nights and so I, of course, have to award this stellar gem of a book five stars!

Thank you so much! It took me a long time to write Bran but I fell in love with Michael and his tribe. I’m currently working on Rhys’s story, although it’s taken a while because my laptop was being repaired and I didn’t back up my story before it crashed!
