Bloodlines is quite simply one of the most exciting, incredible, fantasy books I have ever read. Bloodlines has astounded me; I enjoyed every single moment of the book because it was by far a perfect read. The wonderful author of the novel, Mariah Hayes, is a true literary talent because the author managed to captivate and enthrall from the very beginning. To be honest, a part of me was always going to love this book because I love fantasy, but even if I did not, I would still love this book because it has action and adventure and fantastic writing that will keep the reader happy in bliss!
Bloodlines will introduce the reader to the protagonist of the book, Nylina (Nyla) Galatianti however before I introduce you to Nyla you must first know about Lydia Galatianti, Nyla’s mom who seventeen years ago, had to run away from the kingdom she ruled when his own mother killed her husband King Richard. However, Lydia was pregnant, and she luckily escaped and now her daughter Nyla is grown, beautiful, and ready to retake her throne. However, an accident awakens something within Nyla and transforms her and could change her future entirely. Nyla will have to confide in those closest to her while controlling her new urges while also fighting to save her kingdom Galatia and this book lovers is the premise of the incredible Bloodlines!
The story of Bloodlines is a sensational one because it encompasses everything good about literature. It has an outlandish, brave plot, enthralling characters, and an incredibly well thought out backstory that will keep the reader wanting to read for hours on end. Bloodlines is a unique and special book; it is exceptional for the apparent reasons… that it encompasses everything great about the written word, but it is unique because of the plot. The plot of this novel is something I have never read of or heard of before, it reads like a movie, and you can imagine the details in perfect glory. Never before have I read a book that has a ton of action as well as intellectual depth. In other words, this book has brains behind it; it is not a senseless, quick, fantasy read!
Mariah Hayes, the author does an incredible job of piecing together fantasy and heart with exciting moments and seamlessly integrates themes into one book of intrigue. Hayes is a phenomenal writer because the author is dedicated to her work as well as passionate. Hayes passion for the written word shines off the page and into the reader’s mind. Hayes sometimes lengthy, beautiful descriptions will send the readers mind into visual overdrive, the reader will be able to perfectly imagine every detail the reader comes across and that in my opinion, is a sign of a talented author.
To conclude my thoughts on the brilliant piece of literature that is Bloodlines; I would say if you are looking for a fantasy read that is unlike anything you have read… a read that will keep you entertained for hours on end as well as enthrall you then this incredible book is for you! Bloodlines gets five stars from me!
