A girl on the run. A dreaded declaration. A time of unforeseen change.
After the shocking events at the True North Society compound, Fiona is deemed a traitor and finds herself on the run. Luckily, she discovers she still has a friend in the Society, but he informs her that Matthew has disappeared. Since she can’t go home, Fiona is forced into hiding, fearing the worse.
Matthew has plenty of his own problems. Syrithia left him for dead in the desert, and he doesn’t know why or where her allegiances really lie. Matthew also knows Fiona is in trouble, but he’s helpless to get to her while the sun inches over the horizon.
Meanwhile, something has changed. The True North Society has coveted key dates of future events for decades. However, they get their first glimpse that the current timeline is different. Vampire Nation makes their fated announcement, which isn’t when it is supposed to happen. So the end may be coming sooner than anyone realized…
Angeles Covenant is book four in the Angeles Vampire series and dare I write this, but I think that Angeles Covenant is my favorite book in the series and throughout my review, I will explain why I believe this. From the start of Angeles Covenant I found myself captivated, even more so than with the previous novels, I think this is thanks to the author’s ability to create an air of tension right away at the start of the book. As I started to read the story, I knew that this was going to be epic as well as shocking and so I dived right in. Angeles Covenant can only be described as the perfect blend of action, adventure and fantasy because Michael Pierce brilliantly weaves all of these themes together with his excellent wordsmithery.
What I have loved about the Angeles Covenant series from the beginning is the fact that the series and the world created in the book is original and unlike anything I have read before. Although! Many comparisons could be made to world-renowned books and tv shows because Angeles Covenant and the previous three books are of the same high standard. For example, Game of Thrones is an epic, dense and captivating fantasy series and the Angeles Vampire series could undoubtedly be compared to the series. Granted, the two series have many differences, and the story is world apart, but what they both have is a well developed and original land full of many different places. That is why I believe Angeles Covenant can easily be compared to Game of Thrones because they have one thing in common: an entertaining, well-developed story that will make readers lose sleep because of how gripping the story is! Of course, I already recommend the series and Angeles Covenant but if you need more convincing, then please do read the rest of my review.
Angeles Covenant is the fourth book in the series, so I am going to have to be very careful once again about spoilers! Book four will reunite the reader to the protagonist of the series, Fiona and this time she is in trouble. Fiona has been branded a traitor, and she is now on the run, alone and desperate. Fiona has only one friend within the True North Society, and she is alerted to the fact that Matthew is missing and this sends her into a further panic. The reader will follow Fiona as she is forced into hiding all while she tries to find Matthew and survive and this book lovers is the premise of the sensational Angeles Covenant.
The story of Angeles Covenant is excellent, and once again the author Michael Pierce has managed to breathe new life into his story all while developing characters we have grown to love even further. I confess that I am obsessed with Fiona and her journey and who can blame me, I have followed her on her journey over the course of four books now! Fiona is an excellent character because she is relatable as well as likable. The encounters and situations she has faced throughout the book could easily resonate with readers despite the events being fantasy based because although the Angeles Vampire series is fantasy, some of its themes easily translate to the real world and that is why the series is such a gem of a read.
In Angeles Covenant, the reader is going to be guaranteed a lot of drama and a lot of epic moments! Michael Pierce really went all out for the fourth book, and wow he did not disappoint! Michael Pierce has managed to create a fantasy world in the most flawless of ways, to create one is difficult, but Pierce makes it seem like an easy job. With his world and with each book in the series he manages to breathe new life into the smallest details, into the characters and the events and this keeps the books and the series as a whole very entertaining and enjoyable.
Overall Angeles Covenant is another stellar book from Pierce, and so I would be mad not to award the book five stars! So please book lovers, have a read of the preview below and be sure to have a read of the previous books in the dramatic series as you do not want to miss out!
