Jessica Laurel Kane is an incredible author who has written an equally incredible story. In Anchors in the Storm, she has expertly weaved important themes throughout her story that will help young readers, and that to me is beautiful as well as important. I adored the message of finding hope after a loss as it is incredibly important for children to learn this.

What I also adored about Kane is how she subtly laced these themes throughout her book so that first and foremost, the children that read this book are entertained, but they are also learning important life lessons without knowing, and that to me is a sign of a genius and talented author! As well as this, in Anchors in the Storm, the writing flows beautifully from beginning to end so that no young reader will be lost or confused and instead will read enjoy it from start to finish and find it helpful.
