Cauldron of Dagda is quite simply one of the most exciting, incredible fantasy sequels I have had the pleasure of reading! Cauldron of Dagda has astounded me; I enjoyed every single moment of the book because it was by far a perfect and incredibly enjoyable read. The wonderful author of the novel, Michaela Riley, is a true literary talent because she managed to captivate and enthral me from the very beginning with her dramatic twists and turns and phenomenal literature that should not be missed!
Cauldron of Dagda is the sensational follow-up novel to Labyrinth of Shadows, which wonderfully reintroduces us to a world of magic. The reader in book two will be reunited with Merona, in the year 540 A.D., amongst the backdrop of the crumbling Eastern Roman Empire, as she comes out of hiding to protect the magical Cauldron of Dagda, which is mankind’s last hope. The reader will follow Merona as she embarks on this important mission to protect the world while facing great danger along the way, and this book lovers is the short premise of the incredible Cauldron of Dagda!
The story of Cauldron of Dagda is a sensational one because it encompasses everything good about literature. It has an outlandish, brave plot, enthralling characters, and an incredibly well-thought-out backstory that will keep the reader wanting to read for hours on end! And this is all thanks to the wonderful author Michaela Riley.
Michaela Riley is a talented author; there is no question about this. Riley’s writing keeps the reader on the edge of their seat; her suspense-filled book leaves you with a constant feeling of trepidation and a continuous sense of “what is going to happen next?!”. I was enthralled because this is how fantasy books should be! Michaela Riley is not only a brilliant writer for her ability to captivate the reader’s attention straight away, but she is also an excellent author for her ability to lace exceptional twists and turns throughout her story that genuinely had me shocked at points!
The combination of Riley’s shocking twists and her explanatory powers will immerse the reader in the story and make them visualise every detail, no matter how small. This writing approach is one of my favourites because it makes the reader feel included in the story and makes the reader feel as if they are in the same situation as the protagonists of the novel.
To conclude my thoughts on the brilliant piece of literature that is Cauldron of Dagda, I would say if you are looking for a fantasy adventure that is unlike anything you have read before… a read that will keep you entertained for hours on end as well as enthral you, then this incredible book is for you! Cauldron of Dagda five stars from me!
