Misfortunate Adventures is a book I was keen to read ever since discovering it because I always love to find inspiring adventure stories for children to read so when I discovered Misfortunate Adventures I thought ‘Is this finally the perfect book?!’. Now that I have finished Misfortunate Adventures I can happily write that yes it is book lovers. Misfortunate Adventures is one of the most well-written and well-developed children’s stories I have ever come across, and I truly mean this as Misfortunate Adventures is exceptional and should not be missed!
Misfortunate Adventures is a book that takes the reader on an adventure like no other as we are introduced to the protagonist of the novel, Jack Dare. Jack, an orphan spends his days daydreaming of adventure and the high seas, he dreams of nothing more than to set sail across the world but instead, he finds his days spent at Sister MARY Margarete’s Home for Orphaned Youths filled with lacklustre people and boring lessons. However Jack has a secret, he knows the whereabouts of Blackbeard’s hidden treasure and so all he has to do is find a way to escape his orphanage and set sail to find it before any other pirates. What follows is a charming and unforgettable adventure that will take its readers on an unforgettable journey and this book lovers is the short premise of the incredible Misfortunate Adventures!
The story of Misfortunate Adventures is a thrilling one thanks to the enthralling and action-packed moments as well as the unpredictable nature of the book that will have the readers turning the pages with haste from beginning to end. I love books that involve a journey because usually in these stories the character develops and grows as they overcome events and battles which in turn adds to the development of the character and explores life lessons throughout the book and that is most certainly the case with Misfortunate Adventures.
Misfortunate Adventures is a remarkable, fascinating, and addictive read that managed to entertain me from beginning to end thanks to the unique premise of the story as well as the excellent literature courtesy of Jacob Hulsey. Very rarely do I discover a book that captivates me as fast as Misfortunate Adventureshas so the fact that I am so taken with this book shows you, readers, that this book indeed is incredible and not to be missed!
Jacob Hulsey is an incredibly talented author who clearly knows how to write unique but engaging stories. It was evident to me from the start that Hulsey is a passionate writer who surely loves entertaining young readers with his literature and putting a smile on readers’ faces. I loved this about the author but what I loved the most about Hulsey’s writing is his remarkable descriptions because they genuinely amazed me. Adventure novels, in general, are difficult to write because you have to transport the reader quickly and effortlessly, but sadly this is rarely accomplished in an adventure story but not with Misfortunate Adventures because the sensational author knows what he is doing!
Overall Misfortunate Adventures is a marvelous, stellar, and supreme children’s adventure book that will entertain, delight as well as charm young readers! And so I, of course, have to award this book five stars!
