Em’s young life has been riddled with loss. After losing their mother suddenly at the age of eleven, Em and her brother move to Texas to live with their estranged father. Finally, as Em begins to adjust to her new life, six years to the day of her mother’s death, her grandmother unexpectedly passes away.

By her senior year of high school, Em has cried a lifetime’s worth of tears. But when she meets Ben, things begin to turn around. The two fall deeply in love, and Em finally seems headed for happier times. But tragedy seems to stalk her, and another traumatic experience proves too much for Em and Ben’s relationship to endure.

A few years later, Em is twenty-one and still struggling with her breakup from the boy she loved. Seeking a distraction from her depression, Em ventures into a club and meets Cam. Fate seems to bring the two together, and Cam and Em soon form a relationship. But when Cam confesses that their days together are numbered, Em again faces losing someone she cares for just as she’s learning to love again. When Ben unexpectedly reenters her life, Em faces a whirlwind of emotions and a series of critical decisions about life and love.
Without You is a novel about one woman’s journey to finding true happiness and the choices we are forced to make in the midst of life’s tragedies.

I warn you now book lovers that Without You can be hard-hitting to read at times, it deals with many poignant themes such as depression, grief, and loss and all of these topics combined make Without You an upsetting read at times. It makes for a moving journey that will move you to tears at points and inspire you at others, and so already I would implore you lovely readers to get lost in the beautiful story of Without You.

Without You is a moving story and it follows the life and tribulations of Em. Em is a young woman who has experienced loss on more than one occasion, she sadly lost her mother at the age of eleven, and her grandmother passes away on a particular anniversary of her mother’s death. It is fair to write that Em has experienced a lot of heartaches but surely her luck will change… so I thought.

When Em starts her senior year of high school she unexpectedly falls in love with another star of the novel, a young man called Ben. Ben and Em fall madly in love, but when tribulations haunt their relationship, they find themselves breaking up, and Em’s heartache becomes all too real again.

Flash forward a few years, and Em is twenty-one and struggling with depression which stems from the loss she has encountered as well as the loss of the one boy she only ever loved… Ben. One evening Em ventures into a club and here she meets a young man called Cam and fate decides to bring these two together but sadly, Cam’s days are numbered, and Em must make a decision. Her decision will soon be made even more difficult when Ben reappears in her life. The premise of Without You is just this, and it is utterly brilliant but please, do not take my word for it, read this novel for yourself and fall madly in love as I did!

Thank you so much for your review! I’m glad you were able to enjoy Em’s story as I hold her and all of my other characters so close to my heart. Like Em, I lost my mom when I was eleven and it forever changed my life. At times in my life, I felt much of the way Em did. Alone and defeated. But it didn’t take me long to realize there is always a silver lining. Keep an eye out for my future novels! Without You is available in paperback and ebook.
