As their attraction to each other grows; can he come to terms with the tragedy in his past? Can he head off the tragedy that threatens the future?

Twist of Fate is a beautiful, moving, timeless journey that will radiate in the romance and contemporary fiction genre for many years to come. As I begin to write my review for the glorious Twist of Fate, I can’t help but be slightly annoyed at myself for not having discovered this book sooner. I am upset with myself for this because Twist of Fate is one of the most enjoyable books I have ever read; its emotive and captivating story is a story I have longed so long for. In the times where I would be reading a book that was generic and lacklustre, I should have been reading this book so please book lovers, now that I am sharing this mesmerizing book with you do not make my mistake, read this book instead of the one that you are struggling to get through because Twist of Fate will not let you down!

Twist of Fate is a novel written by the splendid Elisabeth Cannell that will take it’s readers on a compelling but emotive journey full of both sadness and happiness. The story follows the female protagonist, Lauren Wood. Lauren is a woman who has experienced great turmoil in her life at the hands of a vicious abuser but one day Lauren manages to escape and when she does she decides that enough is enough; Lauren decides that she will no longer be mistreated and will do her best to start a new life. Lauren decides to move to the rugged Australian outback in the wilderness of Tasmania. While there, Lauren decides that she must keep a low profile for fear of being found and while she is there she takes every precaution to ensure this and even builds a panic room just in case.

One day, while Lauren is riding her horse in an area of beauty that can also be ruthless, she falls, and she is left stranded and alone. Unexpectedly, a man arrives, and this man is called Matthew Carmichael, he has also been out riding and feeling a sense of obligation to help Lauren and so he does and soon he helps her to get back on track. The reader will have the pleasure of following Lauren and Matthew on their journey of healing, the reader will have insights into the mind of Matthew, as well as Lauren and the discoveries the reader makes, are both poignant and hard-hitting. Will Lauren ever be able to trust again? Will she follow her heart instead of her head and throw herself into a relationship with Matthew? Will Matthew be able to let go of the tragedy from the past? Read the incredible Twist of Fate to find out!

As you readers already know, well, I am sure you can guess by now that I have fallen madly in love with this book and this is thanks to the remarkable story that packs a glorious feeling but also the author, Elisabeth Cannell’s stunning literature. As I read Cannell’s book I was struck by her detailed narrative that perfectly describes every scenario and every setting. Cannell’s descriptions of the horse riding accident were one that I found gripping, a part of me wanted to turn away thanks to the descriptions of the pain felt by Lauren but another part of me wanted to keep reading because the literature was too good not too! That is the power of Cannell’s descriptive words; she managed to not only make me imagine every detail perfectly but also feel every emotion the reader felt and this is the true beauty of her literature.

As well as Cannell being a flawless writer of descriptions, she is also an excellent creator of characters as Lauren and Matthew are stand out and will inspire feelings as well as thoughts in many different readers. Twist of Fate truly is an emotive book that all readers will cherish and so I have no choice but to award this mesmerizing piece of fiction five stars!
