Time Will Tell, Anthony G. Wedgeworth

Action & Adventure, Fantasy, Literature & Fiction, Magic & Sword and Sorcery, Middle Grade Fiction, Myth's & Legends, Teen & Young Adult

Overcoming incredible challenges to become the first female servant to a Master E’rudite was not enough. Tilli had aspirations to become the first of her kind to actually become an E’rudite. For years, everything she did was to achieve this personal quest to succeed where none of her kind had ever reached before. All she needed to do was complete one final task for her master before he would begin training her. It was a modest task. She simply had to deliver Runestones to a secluded location and then return without anyone else knowing the exact placement. However, she finds the completion of the mission makes her face her worst fears.

Time Will Tell is book one in the Tilli of Kingsfoot series written by one of my favorite fantasy authors Anthony G. Wedgeworth. As you readers know Wedgeworth is an author whose work I have featured quite a lot on my website and its because I love his work! Wedgeworth’s books are all incredibly entertaining and unique and different from the last. Even the books in the Altered Creatures series all had unique stories because although they had a common premise, with each book a new theme is explored and the result was a continuously invigorated series that kept me frantically turning the pages! That is why I am so excited to have started a new series by Wedgeworth and why I am even more excited to share Time Will Tell with you lovely readers.

Time Will Tell will introduce the reader to the female protagonist of the story, Tilli. Tilli is a young woman who has been a servant to Master E’rudite (a character featured in Wedgeworth’s previous books), and she has struggled with this and faced many challenges, but this does not stop her aspirations. Oh no, instead Tilli actually wants to become an E’rudite! Yes book lovers she is a bold and fascinating character who is not afraid to dream. Tilli has been determined to succeed at this and this throughout the years has taken her on a quest to succeed, but along the way, a great deal happened too. One event, in particular, is a prominent one for Tilli because she needs to complete one final task for her to be taught to become an E’rudite. The task, as explained in the description is a ‘simple one,’ however although it may be simple, it will take her on a tumultuous journey in which she will have to face her worst fears and this book lovers is the premise of the incredible Time Will Tell.

Tilli is a character I adore and a character many readers will grow to love. This is because Tilli is a relatable character and she will undoubtedly inspire young readers who read her tale. The fact that Tilli is a female protagonist and a young woman who wants to become an E’rudite and succeed is incredible and this type of character is usually rare to come across so to see a character of this nature feature in a fantasy novel is terrific! Tilli will inspire young readers and especially young girls that you can accomplish anything you want to and if you want to pursue a bold dream then do it because if you have the will you will succeed and that is such a beautiful message Wedgeworth perfectly laces throughout Time Will Tell.

Wedgeworth in Time Will Tell has once again pushed the boundaries of the fantasy norm all while making sure the book still has a classic fantasy feel, and I am impressed and in awe of Wedgeworth’s decision to do this. It made the novel even more unique, and unique stories are stories I love to read and get lost in, and I was able to do this really easily with Wedgeworth’s book. This is thanks to the originality of his work and his unique story but also because of his world and character development which made me think of a perfect setting in my head and a setting I loved to be apart of!

If you are a reader who adores fantasy and is looking to get lost in a new tale that features a strong-willed and incredible female protagonist, then Time Will Tell is a book I recommend and of course, I am going to be awarding Time Will Tell five stars, how can I not?!
