The Pandarus File, Kyle Keyes

Action & Adventure, Historical Fiction, Literature & Fiction, Mystery & Suspense

The story rolls back to 1958. They are not Happy Days. Russia beats Uncle Sam into space. Rock & Roll takes a hit as federal indictments levy payola charges against some big name disc jockeys. Across a troubled ocean, the U.S. 7th Fleet fights off a Communist invasion threat at the Quenoy Islands.

Locally, the Hollisters of Delaware Township keeps a date with death in Lower Elks County, where menfolk wear bib overalls and tell campfire tales of the Jersey Devil.
Intrigue laces this tale as Ms. Hollister commits a cold-blooded killing in front of her millionaire husband, Rodney Hollister – and gets away scot free, while two backwoods lawmen named Walker Thomas and Bo Brennan fail to solve the crime.

Thomas is a county detective and all but cracks the case in 1958, but cannot locate the weapon. Hobbs Creek Police Chief, William Bo Brennan is more concerned with fishing poles and catfish.

The victim is a 23-year-old boy who suffers from “motor slowness.” His father is wealthy bank president, John Kane who can match Rodney Hollister, dollar for dollar. Thus, the unseen battle pits money against money.

Eventually, a rookie agent named Jeremy Wade tracks down Ms. Hollister’s accomplice who holds the missing piece to the Elmer Kane, murder mystery.
The story jumps from black & white TV to cyberspace and unfolds in typical Keyes’ fast clip fashion. Who Dun It fans will know up front who did it. Few will figure out how it was done.

The Pandarus File is a puzzling mystery with a story that will have readers turning the pages with haste thanks to the intriguing mystery at the heart of the book and the compelling literature that accompanies it. Mysteries are being sold every day but never have I encountered one so in-depth and fascinating as The Pandarus File, and in my review, I will explain why this is. If you are a reader looking to get lost in a captivating plot, then read The Pandarus File because you will not regret it!

The Pandarus File is an in-depth, multi-layered novel with many plot avenues, many crucial events, and many essential characters… so I am going to try my best and simplify all of this for you lovely readers in a few sentences! At the heart of the story is a murder case… a puzzling one that involves many suspects and accomplices. The reader will be introduced to the case and at the heart of the matter is Ms. Hollister, the woman who committed a killing in front of her wealthy husband, Rodney Hollister. Ms. Hollister, however, has seemed to have gotten away with the crime because ‘two lawmen, Walker Thomas and Bo Brennan fail to solve the crime.’ The two lawmen know that Ms. Hollister committed the crime, but they can’t find the murder weapon and well, without a murder weapon you have no case.

The reader will soon be introduced to a rookie agent called Jeremy Wade and Wade puts his heart and soul into the case, determined to solve it. The reader will follow Wade as he tries to uncover the crime, and what really happened and this book lovers is the premise of this classic whodunit murder mystery.

The story of The Pandarus File is exceptional because it is a true murder mystery that has a classic noir feeling to it. I read a lot of mystery novels and they all seem to be generic and too modern, but The Pandarus File feels old school in the best kind of ways! It is intelligent, well-thought out and fascinating and this is all thanks to the incredible author Kyle Keyes.

Kyle Keyes clearly has a talent for writing because within a few pages of his book I was hooked. I found myself engulfed in the story he has so flawlessly written, I was a prisoner, and I was happy to be because what I was reading was genuinely thrilling but shocking and even slightly terrifying at the same time. Keyes manages to draw the reader in with his razor-sharp narration and ever-expanding mystery that will have readers minds ticking over with questions.

As The Pandarus File is a sensational, thrilling and of course compelling mystery, I, of course, have to award the book five stars! Please do have a read of The Pandarus File, it is truly excellent and should not be missed… it would be a crime too!
