A short while ago I read and reviewed an incredible book by Amelia Grey called Mistletoe, Mischief, and the Marquis and book lovers I am obsessed with the story and Grey’s literature. I am so obsessed that upon finishing the first book I knew I had to read another book by Grey as I was already longing to be reunited with her captivating literature. The Duke and Miss Christmas is a perfect historical romance that will take its readers on an unforgettable, charming and sensational journey in which the reader won’t be able to resist falling in love with this incredible story. The reader will feel compelled to read very early on thanks to the novels wonderful author, Amelia Grey whose words are poignant as well as captivating and will keep readers turning the pages into the early hours.

The Duke and Miss Christmas will introduce the reader to the two stars of the story, Crispin, the Duke of Hurst and Miss Gwen Prim. Prim and Crispin met in unlikely circumstances, but when Prim ‘attacked’ the Duke (not realizing it was at first him), he takes an interest in her and finally believes that he has found a woman that he could not handle, which is something that he has been looking for. The reader will follow Crispin and Prim as they grow closer together and what follows is a heartwarming read that is guaranteed to put a smile on readers faces this Christmas.

The story of The Duke and Miss Christmas is an incredible, special one that took my breath away on more than one occasion; the pacing of this story was wonderfully written and plotted so that I did not get bored at any given time. I always measure my likeness of a book on whether I find myself looking at the page number; if I do do this I know that the novel is taking its toll… but The Duke and Miss Christmas was different. Never once did I find myself referring to the page number and that is a sure sign that this book is a compelling piece of work that draws the reader in and captivates them to the end!

The impeccable author of The Duke and Miss Christmas, Amelia Grey writes with elegance and beauty, her words stunned me and inspired me. I loved reading her work, it feels so natural and such a breeze and I loved this as generally with romance novels, I get bored after a period of time, but Grey never bored me once. Amelia Grey kept me entertained from beginning to end and for that I admire her. Grey’s beautiful, descriptive, flowing words were stunning, and I believe she would be able to inspire these thoughts in you too if you choose to read this delightful novel.

Amelia Grey’s creation of her two protagonists, Crispin the Duke of Hurst and Miss Gwen Prim was superb, they were a perfect pairing, and their narratives jumped right off the page. For me, this just confirms once again that Grey is an incredibly talented author who knows how to captivate her reader’s attention with not only her story but memorable characters that command you to take notice.

To conclude my thoughts on the beautiful novel that is The Duke and Miss Christmas; I would say The Duke and Miss Christmas is the perfect holiday read for those that love romance, history, and a lovely story to make you smile this time of the year and if you are a reader who is looking for this then look no further as you have found it!
