His species is being wiped off the face of the earth. With extinction looming, Santorray unleashes his uncontrollable outrage!

Thrown back in time, Santorray finds his ancestors being eradicated from existence by the Alchemists and the Altered Creatures military army which they use to do their bidding. If they succeed, history will be changed and Santorray will have never existed.

The only weapon the injured and struggling villages have left is the newcomer, Santorray. But what can one Blothrud possibly do against an army of Altered Creatures and Spell Casters?

Book lovers as I am sure many of you know I have over the last couple of months read an entire series called the Altered Creatures series and my verdict was that I loved each and every book! I honestly did and what I loved even more than the story is the author’s writing because he has such an effortless ability to grasp my attention quickly and this is rarely accomplished book lovers, trust me! My point is that I loved the series and when it ended I was, of course, feeling a little somber and thought ‘well what do I do now’ and then at that moment I realized ‘oh yeah, Anthony G. Wedgeworth has written another series!’ which is an almost companion series but kind of not. It may sound confusing book lovers but Outraged, the book I am reviewing today does compliment the Altered Creatures series however it can also be read as a standalone. Personally, I recommend that you read the Altered Creatures series before reading Outraged but if you are obsessed with the description of Outraged and can’t wait then jump in book lovers because Wedgeworth won’t let you down and will update you on the general story real fast.

Outraged is a novel I was desperate to read, I was desperate to read it because I needed Wedgeworth’s literature and epic fantasy in my life, but I was also desperate to read it because my inner ‘critic’ wanted to know whether Wedgeworth could succeed in pulling off writing another series. Would it be a letdown? Would it be just as good as the Altered Creatures series? These are just some of the questions that raced through my mind and although I knew deep down that Wedgeworth would pull it of, I admit that I was intrigued and thought about the possibility that he would not. However, I know you know what I am going to write now book lovers because yes, Wedgeworth did pull it off and yes Outraged is just as epic and excellent as the books in the Altered Creatures series1

Outraged is a novel that starts of in the events in book three in the Altered Creatures series called Essence of Gluic; however for the sake of the review and to avoid confusion I am not going to write about the ties that bind the two stories but rather review Outraged as it is a standalone novel for those that want to read it this way. Outraged will introduce the reader to the protagonist Santorray and let’s just say that he is not a happy bunny book lovers! In fact, he is angry, furious in fact because he learns that his species is ‘being wiped off the face of the earth’ and he wants to one) know why and two) stop it which is, of course, normal reactions. The reader will follow Santorray on his journey to find out what is happening and this takes him back in time and will see him face the Altered Creatures military army and alchemists who play a key role in the plot of the eradication of his species. Santorray will soon embark on a quest to defeat those that are killing of his species and this book lovers is the premise of this exciting novel that should definitely not be missed… if you do you will regret it!

Outraged is an exciting novel, there is no doubt about it, Anthony G. Wedgeworth I believe has added a new flair to his writing that I can’t put my finger on. I do not know whether it is more characterization, more thrilling moments or what but what I do know is that Outraged feels fresh and it is incredible! What Wedgeworth has written is phenomenal, and so it makes Outraged a book that demands to be read.

What did I love most about Outraged? This was a tricky question I asked myself because I loved it all! However, I have to admit that the action scenes that unfolded were mind-blowing and were definitely exhilarating. As I read the action scenes I felt as if I was right there amongst the fighting and destruction and although it instilled a fearful feeling in me it also installed a thrilling one, and that to me is just the definition of adrenaline, so the fact that Wedgeworth was able to do this means that he deserves serious praise!

I am sure you readers can guess by now that I adore Outraged and so, of course, I am going to be awarding Outraged five stars… how can I not? If you are a reader interested in high fantasy with exceptional and even emotive themes then look no further as Outraged has everything you would want and more.
