In college a group of four young men establish a tradition: every year, they come together for a week-long trip in search of adventure and distraction. They travel around the world to go hiking, biking, or kayaking. They call it their Man Mission, a sacred ritual dedicated to new experiences and friendship.
In the course of their travels, they hitch a ride with drug dealers in New Zealand, down kava shots on Fijian beaches, come face-to-face with a roaring lion in South Africa, luxuriate in a resort intended only for Vietnamese Communist officials, trek to Machu Picchu, and go ice climbing in Iceland.

The story of Man Mission is phenomenal, and the wealth of enticing information combined with the exceptional story will entertain readers from beginning to end. The author of Man Mission, Eytan Uliel perfectly describes every event and all the details for you. I admit that some novels can be confusing, sometimes the literature is too dense so that you feel as if you are walking towards a strong current – you can’t push through the text – however I found with Uliel’s literature that although it was detailed, it was immersive. Uliel manages to draw you in quickly and guide you along the way while never confusing you and I am impressed with Uliel’s talent to accomplish this as it is not easily done.
Overall Man Mission is an incredible, phenomenal and breathtaking story that is immersive and full of detailed world-building so I, of course, have to award the stellar read an excellent five stars!
