Girls are going missing. Every winter, when the snow falls thick on London’s cobbled streets and the Thames freezes over, girls disappear from their beds.

The Lost and Drowned is a story centered around this one sentence and let me tell you now book lovers, it is so incredible that all I can think of right now is how I want to read it again. The Lost and Drowned is a sensational book, its flawless plot and thrilling narration will have readers turning the pages with haste into the early hours of the morning. I know I was! Already I would implore you lovely readers to read this book because it is original as well as captivating and so it would be a crime to miss it!

The Lost and Drowned is a disturbing, haunting novel set in the streets of London. Every winter, when the snow falls girls from London seem to disappear from their beds at night and never return. Lydia is one of the young girls who knows that these are not strange tellings but rather a real possibility, and so she needs to survive as well as help her sister Sophie to survive. Lydia, however, is already surviving as she is forced to live in an Orphanage with Mr. Scrivit who runs it and he is evil so it is fair to say that she struggles but she is still tough and feisty. The reader will soon accompany Lydia on her journey to discover who is haunting the girls at the orphanage and snatching them from their slumber. What occurs next is a genuinely chilling, supernatural affair that will haunt as well as entertain its readers. Will Lydia be able to solve the crime and save herself as well as the ones she cares about? Read The Lost and Drowned to find out!

The Lost and Drowned is a book that you will find impossible to put down and this is thanks to the exciting plot as well as the haunting happenings which will intrigue you so much that you will read until you discover the answers.

Stuart Fryd is the author of this superb novel, and he has a real talent for writing. His impeccably well-created story combined with his brilliant characterization and flawless literature, make The Lost and Drowned a stunning piece of fiction. Fryd ensures from beginning to end that his readers are entertained and never once bored. He manages to accomplish this thanks to the many twists and turns he wonderfully places throughout his novel; these twists and turns of his ensure that not only the reader is entertained but also intrigued by the mystery and wanting to know more!

Thank you so much for your review. The book went through a lot of drastic changes since it was first started as two separate short stories seven years ago. I’d love to know what people thought if they got a chance to read it.
