This sparks a ten-year obsession as his life becomes a solitary struggle of self and purpose. He works in secret, lying, trespassing, and doing whatever it takes to continue his quest, even though he sacrifices love, friendship, and family pursuing his elusive goal.

When a solution seems within reach … THE FEVER takes over and nothing, not even a new love interest, can stop him from hastily planning another perilous trip.

Join Sam as he recklessly heads out into the wilderness again, certain that he will either find something out there … or he will die trying.

How far would you be willing to go to feed YOUR Fever?

As a reader who loves the gold rush era, I knew that I would love this book. The Fever may not be about the gold rush era but it does involve a hunt for a gold mine and that alone hooked and intrigued me. As I read the description of this book, I already had questions stirring in my mind and I wanted to know whether the protagonist of the story would fulfill his goal! The Fever is indeed a gripping story and if you are a reader who loves to be taken on an incredible, action-packed adventure then The Fever is not to be missed.

The Fever follows the protagonist of the story, Sam Milton, who one day discovers, at somebody’s deathbed that there is a gold mine out in the desert and with this revelation, Sam’s life is transformed, and he is instilled with a passion and obsession to find the gold mine. The reader will follow Sam as he spends ten years hunting for the gold mine, you would think that anybody would give up after ten years but not Sam. Instead, Sam, with every passing moment is more engrossed in his obsession and he will do anything to succeed to find the gold mine… including sacrifice love, friendship, and family, all for the gold mine and its protentional gold.

The reader will follow Sam as he makes one more treacherous journey into the desert, will he survive? Will he be able to find the gold and ‘feed his Fever’?. Read this excellent book to find out!

The story of The Fever is a sensational one and this is thanks to the unique premise and the use of a gold mine theme. It is very rare to come across a book that features such a subject so when I discovered The Fever I knew I had to read it and share it with you wonderful readers! I admit I was slightly anxious that this book would disappoint me as I had very high hopes from the beginning, but when I did start to read this book all those fears of mine dissipated as I was hooked by the literature very early on! It was like the exceptional author, Thomas Fenske knew what I wanted in the story and he delivered swiftly and so for that I admire him.
