Fantasy, Literature & Fiction, Romance, Supernatural & Paranormal

Leader of an elite psychic team, Cole Courtland is a shape-shifting wolf with a deep connection to the power of the Earth. His investigation of a string of mysterious murders throws him into the dangerous world of the Quytel and leads him straight to Brianna Doherty’s door.

Bri is plagued by vicious nightmares of death and pain. When her home comes under siege, an enigmatic stranger appears out of nowhere to save her. Thrown together in a tangle of desire and danger, they are pulled deeper into the secretive world of the Quytel, an ancient order charged with maintaining the balance of power on Earth. Staying one step ahead of those who would destroy them, they struggle to unravel the truth of Bri’s past and her family legacy.

As her relationship with Cole grows stronger, the reality of who Bri is threatens to tear them apart.

Circle of Dreams is a book I have longed for. The story in this book is a story that I have always wanted to read but could never find. I love themes of the supernatural and love conspiracies that involve the earth as well as secrets, so the fact that Circle of Dreams perfectly combines all of these themes ensured that I was destined to love this book and love it I did! Circle of Dreams is one of those stories that will stand out in the readers minds for a long time, I always know when a book I have read is excellent when I am looking for a new book in a bookstore but start thinking about the previous one I read! That is exactly how I feel with Circle of Dreams so already I have to recommend this stellar book for all of you lovely readers.

Circle of Dreams is a multi-layered novel which follows two primary protagonists and narrators. The story begins with Bri as she awakes from terrifying nightmares and although she has experienced many painful, tormenting dreams, her most recent one is more powerful than the previous rest and in this one, she sees a man. Bri then awakes in a panic, sweating and in pain; Bri can’t help but think about the man she saw in her dream and why she feels such a powerful connection to him.

Circle of Dreams will then introduce its reader to the male protagonist of the story, Cole, a private investigator who while out investigating a gruesome and bloody murder with his team, finds himself flying up into the air as a peculiar and prevalent force takes over his body as well as visions. In Cole’s vision he sees Bri and with that, and the firm connection he feels, he is transfixed and knows that he must discover who she is.

The Circle of Dreams is a multi-layered plot which is sprinkled with excellence the whole way through. Although I have just discussed the two protagonists of the story, I have not discussed the storyline so let me expand on this for you lovely readers. Murders, bloody murders are occurring all over and so Bri, who is a reporter starts to investigate them in the hopes of discovering who the serial killer is for her readers. Cole, who is a private investigator is a shape-shifting werewolf and he and his team are too investigating the strange murders and what it is connected to. Soon Bri and Cole will be introduced, and the chemistry between them is passionate! The reader will follow Bri and Cole as they discover who is committing the murder as well as what the Quytel organization is and why they are involved with ensuring the balance of psychic power in the world. Follow Bri and Cole on their daring and exhilarating mission and get lost in a slightly mad but brilliant world!

The story of Circle of Dreams is one that engrossed me very quickly thanks to the prologue which involves the Quytel organization. The prologue was genius and wonderfully included by the author, Jane S. Morrisey which gives great insight to the readers. As I read the prologue, I found myself instantly hooked because the nature of it and the organization’s mission is fascinating and will surely transfix any reader.

Jane S. Morrisey is soon becoming one of my favorite author’s thanks to her dramatic literature and compelling plot and enigmatic characters. The combination of all these three attributes ensures that no reader will ever be bored while reading Circle of Dreams. Instead, the reader will only feel pure delight as her words will inspire a feeling of pure enjoyment in her readers and so, for this reasons and all of the other reasons I have listed, I have no choice but to award this stunning book five stars!
