A Labor of Love, Tinthia Clemant

Contemporary Fiction, Literature & Fiction, Romance, Women's Fiction

After surviving an attack on her life, Annah-Belle Henderson wanted nothing more than to return to her family, friends, and the arms of her new love, Eric Ashworth. Instead, she discovers a dark secret that shatters the foundation on which she built her life, and she finds herself tossed into a world of strangers. Whom can she trust? The brash blonde? The teenager? Or the handsome man claiming to be her lover?

A Labor of Love continues the story started in Midsummer’s Wish. Rejoin Annah as she struggles to find a way back to the people she loves and the woman she was destined to become.

A Labor of Love is book two in The Seasons of Annah series written by the phenomenal Tinthia Clemant and wow, what a stellar sequel to a brilliant first book! A Midsummer’s Wish is book one in the series, and my verdict was that it was a beautiful piece of contemporary fiction with a twist that will delight and entertain readers for many hours… it definitely did for me! Upon finishing A Midsummer’s Wish I instantly wanted more so had to read and of course, review A Labor of Love and that is the book I am reviewing today book lovers!

Before I introduce you to the premise of book two, I think it is only fitting that I introduce you to the premise of book one by sharing a short extract of my review for A Midsummer’s Wish!

“A Midsummer’s Wish will introduce the reader to the protagonist of the novel, Annah-Belle Henderson. Annah-Belle is a fifty-five-year-old woman, and she is desperate to find love, so much so that she is willing to do just about anything to find love and she is going to do just this. Annah-Belle is an earth witch, and she has cast a spell for love and love is granted but in the most unexpected person. Annah-Belle’s love comes from the young nephew of her best friend, yes book lovers, Eric Ashworth is twenty years younger than Annah-Belle, but she is in love and so happy that he loves her.”

Now, how wonderful does A Midsummer’s Wish sound?! Book two A Labor of Love will introduce the reader once more to Annah-Belle Henderson, and in book two the reader will follow her as she continues to explore her new found love with Eric Ashworth however, A Labor of Love is not an all lovely dovey book. Instead, A Labor of Love will take the reader on a dark journey also as Annah-Belle in A Labor of Love will discover some shocking and dark secrets that will shatter everything she once believes. What follows from this point is a truly shocking but entertaining story that should not be missed!

The story of A Labor of Love is a stellar one that had me intrigued from the very start. I love any story that features a romance and secrets, so I knew from the beginning that A Labor of Love would deliver thanks to this theme and wow did it! From the start the reader is immediately thrust into the thick of the story, the reader will feel as if their breath has been knocked out of them by how fast the reader is pushed into the thick of the plot. I personally love this approach with a novel, especially if it is a mystery based one; what is the point in waiting for the action to start? None in my opinion so that is why I love how the excellent author Tinthia Clemant decided to throw her readers into the story; it made for an exhilarating read, one that I would recommend to all of you lovely readers!

Tinthia Clemant is a newly discovered author of mine who has managed to entertain me once again from start to finish, and I confess book lovers that I am kicking myself for not having found Clemant’s work sooner! I am frustrated that I have not before because never before have I been so entertained by a series! To write a good series the reader needs to be fully immersed in the story and feel as if they are experiencing the same events as the protagonist(s) and Clemant manages to accomplish this with her writing in A Labor of Love, so Clemant is most certainly worthy of an abundance of praise.

Not only is Clemant an outstanding writer for her ability to thrust her readers into the thick of the story, but she also is because she was able to describe all of the events that unravel perfectly. Every event and moment and even place is flawlessly described with a wealth of detail which in turn keeps the reader turning the pages.

Overall A Labor of Love is a gripping novel that is guaranteed to keep readers entertained for hours on end so I, of course, have to award the story five stars! Be sure to have a read of the preview below book lovers; you won’t regret it!
